Have you got the printer selected as the default in printers and devices?
Have you got the printer selected as the printer to use in publishers print control?
Does it work with other programs?
If it doesn't work with any program, then it's possible that the driver for the printer may have been updated with an incompatible one from windows updates. You could try reinstalling the previous driver form the printer installation disc.
A lot of people seem to have had major problems trying to upgrade for this software. Some have spent many hours waiting on the phone, and decided to move to different software.
"Dog Lover" offers this guidance:
If you are updating your software follow carefully (1) first back up your database and email to yourself (2) wipe bookkeeper completely off your computer (3) download the newer software and install the tax tables (4) finish updating (because it downloads to a newer software version within 2011) the program. When everything is updated, (5) save your database to your desktop (6) open bookkeeper and restore your database. Then make another update with the upgraded database.
Lets hope it is still true for 2013/14
For me, this seemed to be an issue with the PRD.INI.SIGNATURE file not being present in turbotax's 32bit folder. Typically this will be created during the install process... UNLESS it can't get access to the machine's crypto keys.
Go here (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/817754/en-us) and follow the directions under "Assign the Everyone Group Appropriate Permissions to the Folder".
You might have updated to an incompatible driver. Not all new drivers work on all devices. Realtek drivers for example often are incompatible with specific devices, where you need a driver from the PC manufacturer. The Realtek driver will install without problems though. Just no sound anymore after that.
Try rolling back you audio driver. Here are some things you can try: http://www.pcauthorities.com/pc-errors/no-audio-device-in-windows
If you have new pc's you probably have a windows vista operating system. Check and make sure your program is compatable with the windows system that you have. That may be the problem since certain programs not set up for vista will not download or run in vista.
Try uninstalling Flash. Uninstal programs, Windows, or delete Flash from the Applications folder. Restart your computer and update your browser if you haven't already. Then, download flash from http://www.adobe.com/.
The problem is the feature you tried istalling might have corrupted the OS. What you can try doing is create new user account first , restart your computer into the new user computer and then try installing. If the same still doesnot work , then my friend the only solution would be to reinstall windows xp and then put office 2007.
i had a friend who had this problem recently.i figured it out though.first go to your add/remove programs and remove office xp completely, then do the same thing with office 2007 .then after they are both removed restart your computer, and then installyour office 2007,the key here is you cant have both on your computer.hope this helped.
