Panasonic Flat Screen Model No. CT36HX42F won't turn on

I have a Panasonic HD TV, flat screen, approx. 4 years old.
Today it just would not turn on, no sound, no lights, nothing. Checked outlet, OK. Is there a fuse I can replace and if so, how do I get to it?

I have the same problem with the same model TV. It just randomly shut off one day and would not come back on. I left it unplugged over-night and still wouldnt come on the next day.

My TV just did the same thing! I contacted Panasonic and they told me to leave it unplugged for an hour. I have done this and it is still happening. If anyone finds the solution to this, I would love to know. I have had no problems with this set until now, but am now leaning towards not ever getting a Panasonic if it is going to break after only 6 years.

I have 36in rca tv from 99 and my tv screen keeps blinking.

Might be a power supply/transformer problem. With the prices of TV's as low as they are today, it is probably more cost effective to replace rather than repair. I just recently bought a 40" HD flat screen with all the bells and whistles for $299. It would probably cost you close to that to repair your 15 year old unit. Food for thought.

Was watching my vizio and i heard a pop and the screen went blank, but there still is sound, its about 4 years old can it be fixed and ballpark on how much it would cost to fix!

Main Power Supply issue! The repair would cost you more than what a new flat panel would cost you. Vizio is a Chinese made TV. Only lasting 3.5 to 4 years. Go out and buy yourself a new Christmas gift a new flat screen TV. Try to get a name brand one like Sony, Samsung or Panasonic. They have great service records. Vizio is your typical breaks, throw it away.

I have a flat screen TV from Panasonic and the sound is not working. (i've had the TV for 6 months)

Sometimes in the on screen menu there is an option to turn speakers on or off, check to see if they are on.

Panasonic 36 inch flat screen tv 6 years old (model unknown) just stopped turning on. Act as if it is unplugged. Could it just be the fuse? If so, where is it located and how do i replace?

Fuse sounds right.  Had a Toshiba 32" that did the same thing.  Had to have a repair man come out.  $150 charge all told.  Worth it, because a new TV would be a lot more.  Unless you are some kind of electronics wizard, you don't want to take that thing apart.  They are very delicate-looking inside (and really cheap-looking, actually!).

Flat Screen HDTV

Yes, this kind of unit overheats too, your TV has inside several chips that produce heat, and therefore the TV board has a couple of termic sensors detecting temperature from main cpu and other chipset. When it turns off approximately after the same time, is either overheating or a bad power adapter.

Turned on my 31" 14 year old flat screen panasonic tv yesterday and was greeted by a very thin horizontal line of bright light. Sound was there, just no picture. Could this be a picture tube problem?

This is most likely a failure of the vertical IC. Please post the model number of the set so I can provide you with the parts details. If you can solder, you can fix this yourself.
