I have a '93 Fender Blues deluxe tweed and don't seem to have any reverb, am I missing something?

Check the connection to the reverb tank (rectangular box usually sitting on the bottom of the amp). There are a pair wires that connect it to the amp. If wires are connected, and the reverb is not working, you may need to replace the reverb tank.

Just got a new Marshall DSL40C. The reverb does not work on either gain control or with the footswitch. Why?

Nothing wrong with the amp. Google it- these amps have extremely weak reverb. All of them are the same. It's the one weak point about these amps. And I love mine. I mic it when we gig. Sounds awesome both clean and driven. But you'll have to get a separate reverb pedal if you want "girl crush" or "pipeline" reverb. Don't listen to the above posters. It's the way these amps are.

The reverb channel on my fender twin feeds back

Not sure of how it is feeding back. Two possibilities... the reverb tank in the cabinet is no longer shock mounted. The other is your guitar can "hear" the speaker... make sure you are away from the amp. With the reverb on, the feedback stability is less than with it off so make sure your guitar is away from the amp. Acoustic guitars are more sensitive to this than solid body ones.

Hi well to wire it all up,isn't too hard, if ya can follow the diagram above, it's a rough, very, diagram of how you could go about hooking it all up.
The AMP is sort of the central thing, the speaker plug into the OUTPUT side of things. Then on the INPUT we use our MIXER, to Join all our "Other" INPUT devices, Drums, sound modules and reverb units, the reverbs always go between the Input device and the Mixer.
Now if using a patch bay all the inputs go to that then to the Mixer and on to the Amp, out to the speakers.
You could use the PC to control them all, and use the USB audio interface to deliver audio in.

Hi my Marshal G15 is making an echoy twang when played loud (& open E chords). does this mean the reverb is broken?

I suspect the vibration when it is loud is vibrating a reverb tank within the unit.

Test this bylistening with headphones and see if you get same sound.

It may be the reverb has a resonance or the cabinet does that is sensitive to your E chords.

The shock mounting of the reverb may have failed to isolate the reverb tank from speaker vibrations... hence the headphone test.

Crate 100 head. Reverb doesn't work.

Check the input RCA plug going into the reverb tank (silver box with two wires connected to it). Make sure the amp is off when you do this. Sounds like the output is working fine if hitting the amp does it.

It might just be the control knob. My fender's reverb went out and it was just the knob.

This is a device which gives the illusion of more spacious sound by adding reverberation (echo) to the audio signal. This particular unit uses a mechanical analog delay mechanism employing a steel spring! Analog spring reverb units enjoyed some popularity in the late 60's and early 70's, with the Sansui and Pioneer units being the most common..
