My friend gave me an Eee PC 4G with Windows XP home edition. But it is in Chinese. How do I change the language to English? Pls help.
If the menus are all in Chinese then you will need to install an Enlgish version of Windows XP.

If you can get to control panel, there should be a box that should be Regional and Language settings, if you can find it, you should be able to change everything to english
hope this helped

Look through the options on an English language PC if that helps
Use babelfish or similar to find the language you need, and then change the 'regional and language settings' to that language. This is 'English' in Chinese:

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Go to http://www.asus.com then select "Services" and click "Support". In the next window, click "Download". In the next window select "Product, Series & Models" in the selector boxes and click "Search". In the next window, select your Operating System. In the next window, click the Plus(+) sign next to manuals and scroll to the English Manual. When you read it, go to "System Recovery" if the left column and click. in the right column, You will see you need a USB external DVD drive. Reading further will tell you how to install the OS. If the system will allow you to change the language, it will be when you install a new OS.
