KitchenAid stand mixer (kp2671xwh)

I think I killed the motor in the above mentioned mixer and want to fix it myself. I would like to find a manual and a place to purchase a new motor. Any ideas? Thank you for your time!

Hi Service Manuals are not given to customers. You can download parts manuals for your mixer which will assist you in disassembly and reassembly. Goto www.kitchenaid.com

Call Kitchenaid to order the parts. Be prepared to wait at least a month for parts to arrive.

I need a replacement motor on a KitchenAid Professional HD Stand Mixer (Model KG25H7XSL).

The loud pop was probably the soft start circuit board on the motor. You can buy this board at repair sites or Ebay. And yes, they make 220V versions of this mixer.

Did I just kill the motor on my KitchenAid Professional 350? I often use my mixer for cooking and baking, but this was the first time I'd used my pasta making attachment. I didn't even get...

If I have to guess, I think that the motor is still fine. Get a Copy of the
Repair Part List from Kitchenaid.com.
First thing I would do is to check the two Motor Brushes (one on each
side of the Motor Housing). Make sure they are not worn out, and when
inserted, they must both make contact with the Motor Coils. If even
one of them is not in contact with the coils, the motor will not run.
You can also remove the Motor Housing and visually verify that they
are touching the Coils.

has a diagram of the locking mechanism item 9. The screw you removed was probably item 8. Look at the parts and you should be able to figure out how to get it back together.

My KitchenAid mixer will not turn it makes a loud noise.

thebsjunk - I don't know if you've canned the old mixer. If you've bought a new KA, congratulations to Kitchenaid. If you haven't, there's still a possiblilty that you might be able to fix it yourself. (For the price of KA mixers you'd think they's last a 'lifetime', but alas, KA quality is sorely lacking from their current products...but I editorialize.)
It's quite possilbe that you've had a gear tooth break in the transmission, which would lock up and prevent the planetary gear (agitator) from rotating in mixing bowl. This is what happend to my wife's 6 Quart Pro KA mixer. Since it was out of warranty, I decided to troubleshoot myself. First I downloaded the Parts List manual from the KA website so I knew what to expect. Then I easily disassemble the mixer to find that a bevel gear tooth had broken. After ordering the correct parts, and reassembling, it works better than when we first upacked it. The loud whining is absent...
If the motors gone bad, you can still replace that, too. Fixing your mixer yourself is much easier than shipping it off to a repair center, and you have the gratification of doing it yourself.
I hope this helps! Howard, Burke, VA

KitchenAid KSM5PSGR Stand Mixer - attachments not turning

Hi Gail. Kitchenaid no longer has a Parts List for your model. This means that they consider it obsolete. Do an Internet search for parts. You may get lucky. Good luck!

Our mixer is slow and doesn't respond much to the speed selector.

Hi Sunny. Goto www.mendingshed.com They have a free Kitchenaid Service Manual that covers your K5SS mixer. Download it and get to work. I think that it contains electrical circuitry info. This manual is comprehensive and thorough and is absolutely necessary to succeed with your project.

KitchenAid 325 Heavy Duty Stand Mixer runs with low power & clicking noise

well there is a couple of things to try
1. see if kitchenaid sells the motor or
2. if a local appliance parts store can get the motor
this is the only thing you can do about the motor , the wires in the motor are shot and it will need reconstructing in the wireing, that is why it won't run fast and strong , because the wires have been heated up to much and now they can't create a strong enough magnetic field
but to replace the motor shouldn't be to hard just a little patience
if you need any more help just let me know!
