I have an volfenhag car amplifier zx 7170. I made a mistake and went away for three day and left my window open when i return my amplifier was cold and kept cutting off and on so I unpluged it and took it up stair for three day when I putt it back it played for a min then cut off again now there is no power at all can u tell me the problem do I need a new one
If you had your window open and it rained on the amp then there might be a problem. Also, check and double check the amplifier connections. Check the ground to the body of the car. Make sure the fuse under the hood for the amplifier is still good. Check to see if you are getting 12 volts always at the connector on the amp and 12 volts on the remote connector when the radio is on. Feel free to ask if you want me to elaborate. I hope could help. -Andrew Hawkins

blowing fuses alway mean you have a fault with the device, if fuses still blow with nothing connected to the speaker outputs then the fault is internal. if the fuse blow when you turn up the volume that another matter.
a transistor has 3 leads,[emitter current, collector current, base current, i am going to give you list of options that the transistors can be used for and it depends on the configuration of the circuits.
input resistance, current gain, voltage gain, output resistance, power gain, voltage gain, (input and output power) + [input and output voltage] and {input and output resistance} + input and output power gain.
Protection circuit.
Checek the wiring of the amp and speakers, don' forget to look for shorts at the speakers. Make sure no wires are touching each other
Anythings possible but would not justify the cost of the upgrade. What be cheaper to get a new one with more watts.. No one really upgrades amps as the cost of new ones are so affordable.
Is ur unit brand new? if thats brand new ofcourse 90 percent OK. You identify first the rear and front speakers (left & right). Beware to short circuit the unit. short circuit may cause damage ur power out..Set up first the speakers before you conect the power supply..hope i help you even a little...thanks..
