Ilve combination microwave is not heating

Don't know how handy you are but the biggest reason for microwave failure is a diode (HV) between ground and the lead to the magnatron. usually mounted low down low on the right side of the unit. Also, there are about three microswitches in the door closing latches to make sure the door is properly closed. Sometimes they come loose or fracture the mount. then of course there is the Magnatron its self. I save them from old units. They are different wattages but physically the same and simple to change. Good luck.

What is the wattage

There are 2 different wattage's on a microwave oven.

1 The wattage a microwave oven uses from your wallsocket that is in a range from 1500 watt to 2500 watt. you can read this on the typeshield on the back of the oven.

2 The wattage the oven put in you food. ( that is also the wattage that a foodpackage or recepy mentions. it is normal in the range from 600 to 1200 watt. you have too lookup this in the manual or manufacturers website.

I have a sharp microwave-convection model #r-7a85. how many watts this oven needs or have thank you

800 or 1000 are standard wattages. It should say on the plate on the inside 'doorway' of your oven - that is where I find that info on my sharp microwave. It could be on the back but, like I say, normally inside the 'doorway' to the oven
