Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console
I got grounded last week and so my parents made me put all my electronic stuff in a big tote. The slim ps2 was put at the very bottom by my little brother. Anyway, I took it out to play it again..Hooked it up ..everything fine..red light came on and everything..put in a game...pressed the red button to start it...and it came on for a second and went back to red....wtf?!?!?!?! i need help bad....im so pissed...any similar occurences? any solutions?
Hi is your ps2 the one where the lid lifts up to put the disk in if so their can sometimes be a problem with switch on the lid when you press the button to load the game push down on the lid and hold it down and if this is the problem then the game will load.
My ps2 has this problem and i have to put books or bottle of somekind on the lid to keep the lid pressed down far enough so that the switch works and loads the game.
Also you could try cleaning the laser lense you can buy a lense cleaning disk and that will clean it for you and if thats the problem as moving it might have caused the dust to move inside a bit affecting the laser have a go at these ideas then get back to me ok
