make sure you know if you need an 120v AC to 24vdc or 120v AC to 24v DC there is a difference 24vdc (volts DC) 24vac (volts AC) you will be looking for a 1500ma typical rating for this type or transformer

Any 24v will work as long as it's at least 1.5Amp, higher currents like 2, 3, 4, 5 etc would also work, but not lower than 1.5Amp.
