Many Mother boards require a BIOS update to work with Vista. Check for a newer BIOS.

For Windows Vista to work : It requires minimum 2.0 ghz processor, 1 gb RAM and 60-80GB hard disk.

For Windows 7 : It requires minimum processor 3.0 ghz, 1 gb RAM and 60-80 GB hard disk.

Otherwise, your operating system or hardware problem will occur.

Wmi error comes and vista hangs

Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.

Boot into safe mode. First, open services and stop the Windows Management Instrumentation Service. Take ownership of the folder or the contents of the folder "C:\Windows\System32\wbem\Repository." I've done this three times now on different installs and didn't have any issues after doing this, but I suggest you back up the folder to be certain. Delete the contents of the folder. Reboot. When you boot into Vistamag-glass_10x10.gif, you might notice a half dozen or so application errors...it's OK.
Reboot again, and Event ID 10 will be gone, along with the afore mentioned application errors.

Good luck, I'm not responsible for you hosing your system, & all that.

for getting windows vista installed on the machine you should have the configuration of 1gb ram , 1 ghz of processor and 100 gb of hard drive if that is there then you must get it installed without any issues . If this is not the configuration then you should have this configuration first and then get it installed

I HAVE FOOTBALL MANGER 2009 INSTALLED BUT THE PROBLEM IS WHEN I CLICK THERE IS NOTHING AND WAITING SOME SECONDS AND CLICKING ONE MORE TIME AND IT SAYS THAT ITS ALREADY RUNNING HOWEVER I DONT SEE ANYTHING ....

Try uninstalling the game completely and reinstall it. Get the latest audio and display drivers for your system. Make sure you have the latest version of directX. (The latest for XP is 9.0c).
Check whether your system meets minimum requirements. They are given below.
1. Processor 1.4 GHz or above
2. RAM- 512MB or above
3. Intel 910 or 915 chipset or better. nVidia 128MB FX5900 or ATI 9800 Raedon will also do.
4. XP or Vista is preferable (Note that if you are using Vista, requirements will go up).

If your system meets all of these requirements and still you do not get the game, try formatting your system once. Generally these games have conflicts with certain types of graphics cards and sound drivers. Check the manual once.

In Vista what is exactly stored in FileRepository?

Its the list of drivers needed for hardwares that you'll plug later.. try increasing ur RAM if you dont have a video card to decrease PC Lag. XP doesnt need so much memory compared to Vista

In Vista What is actually stored in FileRepository?

If your system is slow, then use disk cleanup and defrag very often. The file repository is a collection of drivers for many different devices and programs.

Slow performance - Frequent Hanging of system

Do you run the Aero them with the glass windows effects etc. and have the windows sidebar running? I have found that this tends to slow down my computer a lot.

To turn off Aero:
  1. Right click on an empty area of the desktop
  2. click personalize
  3. click window colour and appearance
  4. select colour scheme:"windows vista basic"
  5. click ok
To turn off sidebar:
  1. go to start-> control panel
  2. Click windows sidebar
  3. deselect "start sidebar when windows starts"
  4. click ok
  5. on the task bar right click the windows sidebar icon
  6. click close
