Mouse does not work

Try rebooting computer and looking for updates.

If wired, try plugging into another USB port. Also try looking for driver updates for the mouse.

If wireless, try plugging the wireless receiver into another USB port. Also try updating the drivers. Checking the battery in the mouse may be another issue.

Connect wireless keyboard and mouse to lenovo b550

There should be a small wireless dongle that cam with the mouse & keyboard, generally a small plastic piece on the end of a USB connector. Plug this into one of the USB ports in the back of the computer.

MOUSE AND KEYBOARD FROZE UP

I'm assuming that your keyboard and mouse are wireless versions. You should therefore have a wireless controller plugged into one of the USB ports, probably at the back of the PC. Try removing the wireless controller and install it in a different USB port. The Windows operating system should detect it as a new device and attempt to install the drivers automatically.

I cannot get my keyboard or my mouse to work with my dell computer. what can i do?

Please add more information to get specific assistance. Are these wireless devices? If wired, do they use USB or PS/2 connections.

For wireless devices, try replacing the batteries and resynching to the receiver. (You may want to check putting the receiver in different USB ports.)

For wired devices, disconnect and reconnect. For PS/2 devices, you will need to restart the computer to check if the devices work. For USB devices, try connecting to different USB ports.

Next step, try using a different keyboard and mouse (that work on another computer (stick to USB or PS/2 to match the current pair)). Try a wired set if the problem is with a wireless pair. If those work, continue diagnostics on the wireless keyboard and mouse. Check if the mouse and keyboard work on another computer. If they don't work with another computer, replace them.

If another USB keyboard and mouse pair don't work in any port, your USB ports may have failed. Check if even one port works enough to access the Device Manager. (Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device Manager (Win7); similar directions in other versions of Windows) Check for a problem with the drivers (For USB ports, scroll down to the USB drivers and look for a triangle with a yellow exclamation point or red x). Try to update the driver or roll it back. If that doesn't help and one USB port works, a USB hub may solve the problem.

Otherwise if the USB or PS/2 ports do not work with any devices and the driver fix doesn't work, then I'd suspect a problem with the ports on the motherboard. Replace the motherboard/computer.

I hope this helps.

When I restart the computer, the keyboard and mouse do not work. The mouse won't move the cursor and hit cntl alt del on keybourd and nothing happens. I have tries three mouses (one wireless) and two...

Use wired mouse and keyboard (not wireless) and change the USB port you are using to another one.

Connect them directly to the computer, do not use USB hubs.

If no joy reboot in safe mode: turn on your computer and immediately press F8 repeatedly until you get the Advanced Boot screen. Select "SAFE MODE" and press ENTER. After that, restart in normal mode.

Thank you

Make sure the mouse is linking to the wireless receiver on you have plugged into the computer (there should be a reset button on the mouse to establish a new link).

Wireless mouse not registering with my computer

When you plug the receiver into the computer, what happens? Does Windows see the device? If it does not then the device may be defective. Most cordless receivers plug into USB ports. Try different USB ports.

This is a simple procedure

Your wireless mouse will have a bass unit that connects to the PS2 port or USB port of the computer

How to put cordless mouse on pc

A cordless mouse is usually attached to the computer with a USB wireless device that usually comes with the mouse. All you have to do is plug the USB device into an available USB port on the back or front of your computer and you should be ready to go. The device will install itself in most instances. Then you need to make sure that you put batteries into the mouse itself in order for it to work. Sometimes a wireless mouse will come with an installation cd that will assist you in the installation process.
