Re: Lost dirivers/install disk
I am sorry for the delay in answering your question, we need to determine the model or manufacturer of your webcam, you can try to inspect the webcam, you can try to check any markings or sticker on the webcam.
I really love to help you with your problem but to do that we need to know the manufacturer or model of your webcam so that I can help you locate the site where you can download the driver.
If you can picture your webcam, you can send the image to email@example.com
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

If you have already plugged the USB device into the system before loading the driver, Windows will install a driver for you call “unknown device”.The steps to fix this are to plug the USB device into the computer, then click <Start> <Control Panel> then go into <system>.In there you will need to find the device manager under the hardware tab. When you are in the device manager, you will see a list of all of the hardware install in the computer. Most of them will have the + in front of them showing all is good. There should be one that stands out and most likely, this will be your USB device. At this point you will want to right click the USB device and click remove.Unplug the USB device from you system and reinstall the software. If the software is already install in the system you may be able to just plug the USB device back into the system and it will find the driver.
If it isnt listed under hardware then something may have happened to cause the computer to delete the file "virus protection or firewall" and it may be that your computer just isnt reconizing the software anymore. if you have an installation disk try to use it and reinstall the stuff and go from there.
Just go to the company's website that made your web cam and download a new driver(the program that makes your webcam work with your computer). You can usually download this program free of charge straight to your computer. My suggestion to you would be to also save this download to a disk so that you will have the disk once again and can use your webcam on other computers, good luck!
Make sure you get the exact download for you webcam i.e. model no. and so on because if you don't your webcam may not work properly.
