Question about Hitachi UltraVision CineForm 55VG825 55" HDTV
Wondering if you can help?
Screen color went pink on my Hitatchi Ultravision Digital 52 inch wide screen. Adjusted color to black and white, as this was the only option or way to finnish watching a movie.
Im asuming this is due to a bulb or a lamp that has burned out???
Any idea of the costs of the bulbs or lamps? If one burned out, do you expect the others will shortly?
Any idea where to buy a new one? Cost? and do I have the baility to change it myself?
Or am Im better off looking for a new TV.
SOURCE: Pink Dot in center of screen.
Well, You have a bad engine, so what other's called lcd projector motor.
This will cost you, the engine states at about $500. I've seen this problem and right after I've change the engine for some
F#$% reson the bulb when, twice on me, that's another $400.

You have convergence problem. Either bad connections on ics, ics are bad or voltages to convergence circuit are missing. There are no bulbs in this set. 3 picture tubes, red, green and blue produce a picture than when alighned(converged) correctly on top of each other gives you a color picture. When not you get the effect you are describing. Frst you can try the magic focus in the menu.

The lamp should be replace to fix the no picture since the lamp light is red.
Download the user's guide and see pages # 69-72 for lamp replacement.
