I do not know where in Egypt, but if you explore this site, it will give you your answers as to who to call and send the camera.
http://nikon.com/

If you think it may be worth the trouble, and money, then you can contact Nikon. http://form.nikonimagesvcapprove.com/ There you can get a form and send the camera for them to give you an estimate of repairs.

You can also call the information at Nikon on that website. Nikon has trained people ready to give you advice as to what to do and where and how to send the camera for repairs.

Hello. I want to purchase a nikon coolpix S3000 model camera but my friends told me that this model of nikon has lens problem..so i want to confirm this. plz help me..thank u

I work at an authorized Nikon service center and I don't see many S3000 models coming in for repairs. Most camera point and shoot models that have an extending lens are subject to lens errors. Most of those errors are also a result of shock or impact and not manufacturer's defect. Hope this helps!

Dear Expert, I have a Nikon coolpix S570 digital

Yes the possible solution is alright but there are errors within the camera. Sometimes the lens error is due to failure of the lens control system. You can remove battery and card replace battery and while switching on tap the lens hood on your hands so as to disengage any dirt or mechanism being struck.
Use some air to blow between the lens to dislodge any sand particles struck inside. If none of these works then you can think of taking consensus with the service center.
get estimate before you decide. It will be good to have it checked at the Nikon service as you do not have to run around for spares.

Hi!
It sounds like the lens focus is stuck. If you don't have experience in camera repairs, you should give it for a repair to your local Nikon service center or other camera service center.

What can I do when I get "Lens Error" on my Nikon4100 coolpix?

Check to be sure there isn't an obstruction that is keeping the lens from extending and be sure the battery is fully charged. If you find and clear an obstruction, just turn the camera off and back on and it should be okay. If none of this helps you will have to have a NIkon authorized repair service work on it for you. You can send the camera to Nikon for service or you can look up an authorized dealer in your area.

Try to clean the lens with a soft dry cloth and try again. If there is some oil smear on the lens, use a lens cleaning solution to clean the lens. If this does not solve the problem, take it to an authorized service center.
