I have a LaCrosse WT-3143. We are testing it inside of a building and reliable WWV is iffy at best. However the clock does find WWV and will set itself however the second hand does not run at all. The "instructions" tell you to press the time zone buttons, never explain the manual setup operation and do not mention the mysterious little button between CT and ET buttons.
Is it simply a defective clock or has some wild button pushing turned off the sweep second hand?
Thanks for you help.

For me, the second hand moves only when the clock is reset.
