I should have been more specific above. Remove the detergent drawer by first pulling it out until it stops. Then reach back into the left rear corner and press down on lock tab and pull drawer out. Remove the softener insert. Clean out the hole that the softener insert came out of. Put the insert back in and then put drawer back in. Hope that was your problem.

The solution gradually clogs the drain hole. Stick a toothpick or something similar into the hole to unclog. Worked for me.

Try cleaning out the fabric softener holder with some type of citrus cleaner to dissolve the wax build up, or run a hot load without adding any fabric softener to an empty washer. Good luck!

I took the tray out and placed it to the side. Then I ran a common pipe cleaner through the nozzle that supplies a water spray to the tray. So far, so good.

My Ge Adora washer fabric softner dispenser

You have low water pressure which wont reach the dispenser drawer during rinse cycle. Clean the feed pipe in case there's dirt in the feed gauze located at the back of the machine. The mould on the rubber is dirt in the machinme. A mixture of 1 cap of bleach and 1 small tub of Swarfega mixed with water and put into the drum on an empty wash will stop it geting worse but it cant be removed.

The fabric softner is not going into my washing machine

hi there just try washing the complete soap drawer again in boiling water leave in there for 10minutes to let the hot water work into the gaps and make sure u take all the holders out of the drawer u sometimes have to use a tooth brush to get into the small holes at the bottom of the little funnel what your softener holder goes over also get a small flat blade screwdriver and clean inside that funnel if thats not clean it will stop softener from going away if this doesnt work still then when your softener is supposed to be taken thru the programme make sure the washer opens the valve for the water to go into the fabric softener holder if it doesnt then the solenoid will need replacing as this could be faulty. LET ME KNOWHOW U GET ON PLEASE PETER

Clothes softener does not drain out of the holder

Do your clothes smell funny? Does it take forever for a load to wash? That happened to me and there was a wire loose in the machine somewhere and it would quit mid cycle and never finished a rinse or spin cycle. My fabric softener never drained either!
