Hi,
The damage will be to complete power supply board . It will cost you very heavily if you need to change the power board . The power board inside the unit is damaged due to the wrong connection given by the person .

Hope this helps .

Our Dometic refridgerator in our 1992 camper

I would start there before replacing any parts. The circuit boards require 12volts to operate the refrigerator. If you have a good 12 volts and the LP tanks are full and the flame lights but the unit does not cool then you probably have a bad cooling unit. But start with the obvious issues first.

10 year old DCS Oven does ignite. Oven ignitor glows but maybe not enough to trigger LP from being introduced?

just because the ignitor glows it doesn't mean it's good,it takes 3.2 amps for the ignitor to open the gas valve and ignite the flame, usually if the flame doesn't ignite in around 40 seconds the ignitor is bad.also check the burner tube, your model number doesn't come up so i don't know if you have one or two ignitors in this oven but i've found that when the ignitor starts to fail and the customer waits to long to have it looked at the ignitor burns a hole in the tube and then both the ignitor and tube has to be changed, hope this helps and good luck with your oven.

First off, is the battery installed in the proper position. The positive (+) end should be facing out. I that's not the problem, check the ground wire to make sure it is connected solidly and no rust in underneath it. Then check all the wires to each ignitor , making sure they are not damaged.

I would check your ignitor for power if you have no power to the ignitor when oven is turned on this would mean you need a control. If you have power to an amp draw test to see if it reaches the proper amp draw. To watch a free video on How to test this go to www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html

Make sure that there is no water dripping off of the heat exchanger onto the ignitor. Reconnect all electrical connections on the circuit board and make sure the ground connections are clean. Test the polarity of the power coming in with a multimeter. Reverse polarity will fry ignitors. Make sure the furnace is on it's own breaker.
