Question about D-Link RangeBooster G WBR-2310 Wireless Router (WBR2310)
Ok I need one of those answers that ends with "for dummies" I have a D-Link WBR-2310 router that I used at my office some time back and converted over to a different service and want to hook it up at home..but I do not have the disk...password etc. I already tried typing in the www.192.168.0.1 and even copy and pasting it in to my browser ..but all I get is another Google search...So any one out there that knows how to explain what to do now, to their grandfather with ADHD, hit me back, ?! Please, Paul
With the router powered on, place a paper clip into the hole on the back on the unit labeled Reset. Hold the paper clip down for 10 seconds and release. Note: Do not repower unit during this procedure. The unit will reboot on its own. Once the WLAN light stops blinking, the unit is reset.
Resetting the router does not reset the firmware to an earlier version. It will change all settings back to factory defaults. The factory default username is admin, and there is no password.

You should not need a disk, all software is built in to the D-link 524. Hook up the cables and power to the D-link 524. Using the end of a paper clip , depress the reset button which is to the right of the Power connector. You should see the word reset next to the little hole. Then open internet explorer and type 192.168.0.1 into the browser. Press Enter. The Default password is admin, and the user name is admin. The D-link setup wizard screen should appear to allow setup of the Router. If you need more info , please repost a comment to this posting, and I will get an email to respond to your question. I hope this helps you and I will be attentive to any questions you may have.
