Hi. On some machines eight flashes is a fault code for a faulty motor. Usually means that the brushes have stuck or worn out. Use a multi-meter, and see if both motors have a circuit through them. Good luck. Neil.

Front hood wont open seems like cable has come off i cant try to get the front grill out as one screw is tightyd up from inside and its hard to get the screw out from inside from outside grill

Ive had this problem before. Get a metal coat hanger and make the wire long reach up underneath the car behind the grill and you will locate the lever that flips the bonnet. Wrap the hook of the metal coat hanger around the lever and give it quite a tug and it should open.

Where is the freewheel lever located on the jazzy 1113?

Original Jazzy Select has push-down levers on each side behind powered wheels. These manually disengage the brakes on each motor individually. They are about 6 inches long and push down an inch or so. I don;t know about other more current models, The 2 smaller wires to each motor disengage the brake when given power (24 volt, I think). The 2 larger wires run the motor.

2004 Mazda RX8 heater blowing cold air?

First thing to check: Does the temperature gauge in your car go up to normal quickly when starting out in the morning? If not, replace the thermostat in the engine. It is stuck open. . Then do this: Check to see if the cable actually moves a lever on a device that has hoses hooked up to it on your firewall in the engine compartment. Have an assistant help you by moving the control levers. If no control levers, the duct system is operated by vacuum and one of the doors that throttles the hot air into the passenger compartment has quit working. You'll have to check to see if that vacuum motor is operational. You'll need a manual to make the job easier. . Hopefully it is the first problem, as the second one is rather difficult to troubleshoot and get to (under the dash).

Have jazzy select series need to know flashing code #9 purchased new batteries

Consult your owners manual for the flash code guide. I believe that you probably have a PG Drives Joysitck/Controller, in which case a 9 code would indicate problem with the brake system. Check the free-wheel levers by placing them in the neutral position, and then firmly placing them back in drive. Try to restart. If still flashing, you need to remove the seat and the shroud and examine the connections inside the base of the chair. The brakes are at the end of the motor, and there are thin wires coming from them back to the controller box. Inspect these wires for any damage, and follow them back to make sure any connections on the way are tight, and that the connections for all clip connections are tight.

The brake is electrically operated by a solenoid. If the solenoid has gone bad, then this will also cause a fault code. Contact your dealer for servicing this part. Good Luck.

Pride Jazzy Select batteries not charging

If you use an automotive charger you have to charge each battery individually as they should be 12vdc hooked in series.

Clean contacts and assure yourself that each lead is charging properly. Jazzy has many different models so it impossible to know which you have. But there should be some info on the charger to tell you if your output is 24v or 2-12volt DC leads.

Jazzy has a web site and there is a member section where you can ask questions.

Hot air comes out at all times even when i turn on a/c

I think your cooling fan (elecric) isn't working when the a/c is on. If so, The a/c pressure climbs very high and pops open the emergency pressure release to save the system from damage.

Check your cooling fan and relays, or ect, engine collant temp sensor.

You may have to add freon too.

A/C Pressure Cutoff Switch

The A/C pressure cutoff switch is used to interrupt A/C compressor operation in the event of high system discharge pressures.
  • The A/C pressure cutoff switch is mounted on a Schrader valve-type fitting on the A/C compressor to condenser discharge line.
  • It is not necessary to discharge the refrigerant system to remove the A/C pressure cutoff switch.
  • A valve depressor, located inside the threaded end of the A/C pressure cutoff switch, presses on the Schrader valve stem.
  • This allows the A/C pressure cutoff switch to monitor the compressor discharge pressure.
  • When the compressor discharge pressure rises, the switch contacts open, disengaging the A/C compressor. When the pressure drops, the contacts close to allow operation of the A/C compressor. For specifications regarding operating pressure(s), refer to Section 412-00 .
The switch contains a second set of electrical contacts used for high-speed cooling fan control.
  • When the compressor discharge pressure rises, the contacts close and engage the high-speed fan control. When the pressure drops, the contacts open and the high speed fan control is disengaged. For additional information, refer to Section 303-03 .
