The contacts in the phone are possibly dirty. To fix this, turn off the phone, remove the battery and clean it as follows:
Take a piece of thick paper (card stock is good). Cut a strip the width of your memory card about 4 inches long. Fold the strip in half and dip the folded end into isopropyl alcohol. Gently insert the damp card into the memory card slot (memory card removed) and with an in and out motion, clean the contacts by rubbing them with the card. Allow the slot to dry out for several minutes. Reinsert the battery and the memory card and then power up the phone. If this does not fix the issue, you may have to have the port replaced by a service shop.
You should remove programs you have on the phone and then reinstall them, you'll have the option to install them on the memory card instead of the phones main memory. This should free up space and help the phone run smoother. Also store pictures, music, and video files on the memory card. Goodluck!
There are 2 different sets of memory - the built-in "Storage memory" & the microSD "Storage Card". You can see how full they are: 1: Run "Task Manager". 2: Choose "Menu", choose "System Info".
I'm guessing that your Internet Explorer cache is large, filling up the "Storage memory". To clear it: 1: Run Internet Explorer. 2: Choose "Menu", choose "Tools", choose "Options", choose "Memory" 3: Select "Temporary Files" & "Clear". This will run a minute or so.
Why this happens:
If for any reason your phone cannot find the SD card on boot it will create a folder on your Phone's Memory called 'Storage Card' to put the Temp Files, Pictures, Music, etc into. Now as soon as the SD card becomes available, since there is already a folder called 'Storage Card', it is forced to name the "Real" SD Card 'Storage Card 2'.
Solution: Delete the "Storage Card" folder and soft reset. If the phone finds the "Real" SD Card, it will be named 'Storage Card' again. If for some reason it is not found, you might have a corrupt SD Card that needs to be reformatted. This would of course loose all the information on the card, so hopefully this is not the case.
Warning: If you have pictures or other files in the 'Storage Card' directory, you will want to move them to 'Storage Card 2' before deleting 'Storage Card'. Use the 'File Explorer' found in your 'Programs' to do this.
