If your speakers are the amplified variety, the speaker plug should go into the 'line out' jack. Many systems don't offer direct amplified output. If still nothing, click on the speaker icon in the lower right corner, then pick 'adjust volume'. Look at the left side for 'master volume'--make sure the volume is turned up and not muted. Hope this helps!

Firstly check whether the sound driver is installed or not. Secondly, make sure that you haven't turned on the Mute (You will see red X mark on the sound icon). Thirdly, Check the output connector (Audio Jack). Forth, try your speaker to another system to see if it's working or not. If you follow all these steps and you still get no sound, then the problem is with the sound card. But in your case, I hope these will definitely fix your problem. Good luck

Getting 2 short beeps and 1 long beep – black screen. gave a quick message once – “could not initialize video card”

Your computer has memory problems. First checkvideo. If video is working, you'll see an error message. If not, you have aparity error in your first 64K of memory. First check your SIMM's. Reseat themand reboot. If this doesn't do it, the memory chips may be bad. You can try switchingthe first and second banks memory chips. First banks are the memory banks thatyour CPU finds its first 64K of base memory in. You'll need to consult yourmanual to see which bank is first. If all your memory tests good, you probablyneed to buy another motherboard.

Clean the ram and the ram slot .then fit it again.

Hope it will help you.

Replacing power supply HP M8120N

Here is the link for the upgrade and service guide.

This one is just as easy as 1) removing the side panel; 2) Remove the four screws that hold the power supply into position; 3) Remove the power supply cables from the motherboard (NOTE: If the media bay reader is in the way, you remove the front bezel by pressing the release tabs on the bezel and it will swing open. Remove the one screw securing the bay in position, then slide it forward so you can reach the power cable to the motherboard.); 4) Remove the power supply cables from the hard drives, cd rom drives, and other peripherals inside the PC. 5) Remove power supply...sometimes there is a button to push and it will slide out, sometimes not. 6) Replace power supply, then reverse procedures.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as fixya.
