The CD drive may not be receiving power from the motherboard, or may not be configured properly. Another possibility is the CD tray is damaged or jammed. What you can try first is to open Mycomputer and then right click the CD drive there and click on Eject check if that will do the trick but if not this is a jammed on the drive.
You may need to try this steps:
Try to coax it out very gently, use a butter knife to help the tray eject DO NOT FORCE IT just help push away from the pc a little, use a flashlight to look in the hole and see if you can see the disk. if so try to gently push the front of the disk down as you try to eject, do not force anything. at the worst it just needs to be taken apart to dislodge the disk.
