Why is my 5" sanding disks not sticking to my sander?

The holes are to suction dust for a vacuum attachment or dust collection bag. The sander will have a very smooth pad almost shiny if it takes stick-on discs (PSA). If not it will be a velcro pad and in that case you need the velcro discs. This description sounds like you have a velcro pad. Sticky discs wont stick to a velcro pad.

My CP7200S has stopped working. The air simply comes out of the bottom of the sander through the filter. Any suggestions?

the units gummed up from the air,get a can of air tool oil and pour it into the air hose inlet, then work the trigger to let the oil into the sander, then pour more in and connect the air hose and see if it will start,if not you may need to dis assemble and one of the reeds may be frozen in place or stuck letting air go by it and out the exhaust

You can add different sanding discs to an orbital air sander to ensure that it is properly set up for a huge variety of different jobs. From heavy duty sanding paper for tough jobs through to buffing cloths in order to get a final polished finish at the end of the job. With most orbital air sanders, changing the disc takes just a few seconds, allowing you to get a variety of jobs done a lot quicker.
