Question about Frigidaire FGF326AS Gas Kitchen Range

1 Answer

I have an FGF 326 ASA. The oven will light but into cooking it starts beeping, shuts off, and I get an F3 error message, sometimes it says, F1. The problem seems to be something with the electronic controls but I'm not sure. Any suggestions on what I need to do to solve this problem?

Check the oven sensor. Should be around 1,000 ohms. If it's OK replace the control

  • GORDON'S APPLIANCE SERVICE

You'll need an ohm meter or you could take the part out and have it tested

Oven beeps and show F1 and F3 while trying to cook or even 2hrs after cooking.

F1 code is a "EOC (Electronic Oven Control) failure" Replace your oven control

F3 code is a bad oven sensor the sensor should have a ohm reading of 1100 at room temp. Replace your oven sensor as well.

Shutting off

Hi, you need to have your control board rebuilt or replaced (if it's stll available). Here's an article I wrote on this failure last year if you want to read the details. http://appliancejunk.com/blog/2009/10/24/oven-failure-after-self-clean-and-f1-errors/

I have a Kenmore Super Capacity with UltraBake System. Model number 92004102. I keep getting error message E2 F3 and my oven door locks and my oven turns off. What does this earor message mean?

We have parts for your Kenmore range. You have a series of 3 numbers before the model number that's on your range. Those numbers tell us who manufacured your oven. Once we have this information, we call tell you which part you need to stop the E2 F3 error codes.

You may contact us at:

from 7 AM until 7 PM CST Monday through Saturday and we can get you cooking again!

We look forward to working with you and getting you up and running again soon.

F3 & F1 Errors & oven shuts off

Concerning the F3(Open or shorted oven temperature sensor (RTD)

Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.

Concerning the F1(Stuck touch pad)

Usually means that either the touch pad or the oven control (also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault code cannot be cancelled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC), touch pad, or both.

Oven beeping f1 and f3

Here are the error codes for your range:

F1 Circuit board defective Replace control board F2 1. The oven temp has risen above 665F and the door is not locked or
2. The temp has risen above 965F with the door locked 1. Check oven temp in mode that failure occurred. Replace EOC (Electronic Oven Control) if above limits
2. Check 8-pin connector. Check and replace oven temperature sensor if necessary F3 Oven temperature sensor is open (above 3000 ohms) Check resistance of oven temperature sensor, check for open wiring between oven temperature sensor and control F4 Oven temperature sensor is shorted (below 500 ohms) Check resistance of oven temperature sensor, check for shorted wiring between oven temperature sensor and control F5 Internal watchdog circuit has detected a failure Defective EOC (Electronic Oven Control) F6 Shorted buttons Check push buttons and dome switches on control F8 Logic interrupted (lock motor switch sequence) Check door lock switches and wiring

Most likely problem is the oven temp. sensor. Should check around 1100 ohms at room temp. I would replace that first because it is the easiest and cheaper than an oven control.
