Question about Trendware TRENDnet TE100-P1U Print Server

Trendnet TE100-P1U won't print

I followed the directions in the quickguide. Everything looked fine. I printed the Test Page and it said it was successful, but nothing printed.

I checked the print queue through Device Manager and it showed the test page with the status "printing". It would not allow me to cancel the print job. I tried to remove the printer (in Device Manager) and it wouldn't remove it. Maybe that is due to the print job that I was unable to remove. I made several of these network printers in my attempts to print but now I can't remove them because I tried to print the test page. how do I get rid of them?

What is Trendnet looking at when it says the test page printed successfully? Did it actually see that it sent the print job to the printer? What is going wrong here? I have done the Trendnet procedure several times and I even downloaded the latest printer driver (Lexmark x5250 inkjet all-in-one) but I can't get anything to print. When I move the USB cable from the printer back to my desktop it prints just fine.

Open the print server utility and the doc can be cancelled or deleted from there. (this is the server utility inthe toolbar at the bottom of a windows screen. failing this go to the printer shortcut and from control panel>printers> select printer and faxes>select the printer (open) >select "printer" from menu bar, pause printing,then cancel all documents. Afterthis you can delete printers that are excessivly created, or delete all of them and start again with only the one or two printers you need. even if one is for network use and the ther is direct connect. You canuse direct connect to verify proper printer operation until te100 is working properly

Why would my Trendnet Print server TE100-P1U not be seen by all computers on the network even though it can be pinged. I can't install it on these computers even though it can be pinged


May requires software loaded on every computer - software that will create the non-std print server "port".
More expensive print servers like the HP jetdirect print server use std tcp/ip ports.

TRENDnet TE100-P11 shows print online but won't print


You have to create an LPR port for it to print successfully.
Download the User's Guide from the following link http://www.trendnet.com/downloads/list_subcategory.asp?SUBTYPE_ID=1316
and then follow the instructions from Page 22 to 24

Trendnet TE100-P1U v2.0, USB light goes dark.


A couple of things I would try:

  • Start the Print Server, then insert the USB cable.
  • Plug in a self-powered USB port, and plug the printer cable into that. That could help if the print server is having trouble with the amount of power drawn by the printer.

Printer is offline ever


I would suggest you one option if the operating system is windows. You have to go to Start -->Control Panel --> Printers and Faxes . Then you will see your printer icon there. RIght click on that. Check whether you are having an option "Use printer Online" or "Set printer Online". If you have that option , just click on that and apply the settings and see what happens - Thank you
