There is a wavy blue light to the right of every graphic. i talked to someone who had the same problem and they said it took the repair man ten minutes to fix it and that it might be a fuse. what is the problem and can i fix it on my own?

It sounds like cloudy coolant to me, but this is by no means a ten minute fix. Usually a fuse will just make the TV not turn on. I am not familiar with your model, but if you can get inside the tv and look down the blue gun, you should be able to tell if it looks cloudy or not.

Blue Flickering Screen - Which Repair Kit?

yes they provide a free service manual with their kits. the symptom of the blue screen could either be the signal or the FMT as they can both cause those symptoms, My professional guess would be the signal board as the FMT will cause distortion lines across the screen with no picture.
