Question about Maytag Neptune MAH5500B Front Load Washer
This unit has stopped due to a failed drainage pump assembly. The grinding is coming from this device. It may have a small coin that could be obstructing the impeller rotating properties, or the the impeller may have simply failed. This pump will need to be replaced, if possible. If you have a floor drain setup, you should be able to drop the discharge hose to the floor or in a bucket. This method will allow gravity to pull the water out so you can take the pump out and get a good look at it.Resetting the unit by unplugging for ten minutes will unlock the door. This can only be done after you have solved the pump issue.
The pump will be located near the lower left side of this unit, internally.
