If the indicator light is on, it means the board is sending the signal, first, check wiring for loose or disconnected terminals to the blower fan Relay, (welded on the circuit board), also, check Relay, you should hear a click everytime the fan button is pressed. If Relay is OK, check capacitor, with power disconnected from wall, discharge capacitor touching terminals w/screw driver, using a multimeter in the Farads function, touch both therminals and compare result with capacitor label. If capacitor is double, (three prongs) check between the one that says Fan and the one with the letter C. The terminal labeled Herm, is for the Compressor. On this type of capacitor it should have something like 5/35 uF + - 5%. the small number refers to the fan motor and the big number refers to the compressor, so the reading you should get should be 5 (+ - 5%) which means 4.75 min. - 5.25 max.

80% of the time. the source of this type of problem rests in the above mentioned components, I am pretty confident that is the source of your problem.

Don't forget to rate this post, Good Luck.

Evaporator fan not working ge profile pss26mgpa ww

Try spinning the evaporator fan motor with your fingers. If the freezer door was left closd it may have rusted on its shaft and be stuck. We need to test the voltage going to fan if oiling its bearing and spinning byhand does not get it moving. Click Here for a service manual=> HERE and here=> GE Artica Test Sheet The fan motor or a relay on the motherboad may also be defective. You should get 12-13 volts DC at the fan motor, Thanks Sea Breeze

Radiator fan does'nt work

The radiator fan circuit also has a relay and/or temperature switch, or it could have a temperature sensor, and the PCM turns the relay on and off to actuate the fan(haven't worked on a Ford from this era in a while).Relays do contain moving parts,so this is most likely the cause(use a test light to see if the relay is getting 12v,ground,a switched signal source, and that there is continuity to the fan connector).

Dayton_furnace I have a dayton furnace the blow and burners kick on and run fine, brings the house up to the right temp the burnes shurt down but the fan moter never stops blowing. what is wrong ?

Hello, if you are referring to,the blower motor then most likely the relay on tne integrated contol board is malfunctioning. Unfortunatly the whole board must be replaced in this case.

Tne fan continually makes a pulsating / grinding sound. How do I know if it is making the sound because it is out of balance or because there is a problem with the motor?

Try spinning the fan by hand. If the grinding sound is present, there may be something caught in the motor which is rubbing.

If the fan is out of balance, you may be able to see it vibrating or wiggling back and forth a little, especially at higher speeds.

Good luck!

The fan motor will stop working, but when I try to turn the fan blades, it turns pretty freely. When the unit is running for a few minutes, it trips the house breaker.

Hello, i would check the capacitor on tne unit, if it starts by turning by hand that means the capacitor is either weak, or bad.

The light on my cooker hood comes on but motor dos,nt work it is a diplomat APP3440

It's probably a bad fan switch or a loose/corroded/broken electrical connector in the fan circuit. Another possibility (but not as likely) is the fan motor has failed.
