Open BIOS by tapping F12 during boot and change the setting back to SATA.
IRQL Less or Not Equal error is usually a memory fault (either faulty RAM or faulty sockets on the board). Grab memtest and see what it reports.

I have already tried this to no avail even before you gave me this as a try-so at least it shows I am on the right track. It powers up then powers down like 4-5 times (with nothing showing on the screen) and then just stays on with nothing on the screen. I just figured there was a reset like I have had to do with one of my other laptops that I had to pull the battery and hold down a key while I tried and power up, that worked on that laptop, just thought maybe there was this solution for the Alienware that was similar.
Yes, resetting the BIOS by removing the battery is your only option left. But the problem you should take care is why you can't get in the BIOS, whatever the hd's setting - and this points to a totally different and unrelated problem, the memory is faulty .

I pretty much did the same as all said to no fix, obviously it will need to go back to Dell for a real fix!
