Yes you can. Most lawn mower repair / parts supply stores have them in stock. You can also order them on line.

If you have your model number you can look it up on this site:

The part number for the 26cc engine front housing which includes the recoil is: 308671001 and lists for $11.18 ($19.17 with shipping)

Swingline Optima 40 stapler is frozen. Will not open to refill

Most likely it is 'jammed' from operating too quickly.
If there is a staple that is part way out, you need to pull it completely out to allow the mechanism to pull itself back to the starting position. My uncle solved that problem by throwing his across the room, bouncing it off of a concrete wall. ( Warranty voided ! )

Why can't I shift it out of gear?

I'm not a motorcycle mechanic, but if the problem is in the trans, I'd start by pulling the trans and looking into it.

The door no longer pops open when the latch button is pushed. How do I fix this?

One of the door latch arms or the latching mechanism inside the oven have broken. you may have to buy a complete door lock / latching assembly . Might not be worth it. Check with your nearest parts supplier.

Won't start. Pull chord will only come out quarter of the way.

There could be two possible problems here.

1) Usually you want to squeeze the gun trigger to release backpressure on the pump so the engine will turn over easily. So hold the gun in one hand with water coming out of the gun while pulling cord.

2) The pull cord mechanism is connected to top of power washer with 3-4 bolts.
Take off those bolts and see if you can unravel the problem. The mechanism is connected to a spring and the spring pulls the cord back in ... so it seems like the rope is in a bind or the pull mechanism is bad.
We had to buy a replacement pull cord mechanism at one time for our power washer, but I forget exactly why it stopped working. We used the power washer two days a week for years. It's aggravating when it doesn't work.

The string that you pull to start the mower has snapped. How can I replace it or where.

You can buy a new cord from a mower repair shop. The pull- starting assembly needs to be removed and the new cord installed. A repair shop can easily do this. You can do it, too, if you have reasonable experience with mechanical repairs.

How to fix a pull start on a petrol grinder

Not that this is 'The' solution, but,
Nearly all pull start mechanisms, are the same.
More often than not, there is a little 'Lug', which blocks the spring.
So that when you pull, you make the tension.
This 'pathetic little lug breaks, thus rendering the pull start, 'inactive'.
Unless you've an old rotter lying around, it's buy new, I'm afraid.
Not the best news in the world, I know.
But I am deserving of those four thumbs,
aren't I?

Problem # 1: My car's steeering wheel is locking up when I turn a corner. I notice it when I'm making right hand turns. However, most of the trip home is right hand turns. The car does NOT die when...

Check the steering wheel lock first of all. The fact it's only doing it on right hand turns makes me think you need to check the steering linkage. It may be hanging up on a plug wire or something, which would make the engine stumble too. It could be hanging up on the subframe too.

If the linkage is free, you will have to pull the key and tumbler and make sure it's disengaging the lock mechanism completely. Just pulling the tumbler out and turn the wheel back and forth will tell you. If the wheel is free, you found the culprit. If it still hangs up, you may need to have a mechanic change the locking mechanism.

The dying when you start it could be several things all working against you. First and foremost, do a complete tune up. That's plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil change AND air filter. If that doesn't solve the problem, try using a higher octane gasoline and a bottle of octane boost/injector cleaner. If that doesn't work either, you may need to have a mechanic clean and calibrate your injectors.
