Question about Barebone Systems

I ahve an MP390 4 in one printer. I had my system upgraded but have lost he installation Cd for the printer. I found a driver on the net but am unable to set up the machine so that my pc recognises the scanner & fax. Hope you can help?? Ian

    Thanks, this is for a HP F390 will it work with a Canon MP390?

If computer has internet access now google search "Belarc Adivsor" Download and install the software and run a check of the system. This will give you specific details of your hardware making it easy to find the drivers needed to install after the upgrade.

I wouldn't bother with windows 98, its more bother than its worth! XP has been given an extention to 2013 so you should be able to obtain a copy at a microsoft certifed retailer, when you update windows the drivers should be installed automaticly

Lost CD disc to printer


Hi mariaannes, look on the printer for it's name & model No#, please post the back here. Also include your OS ver. Ex; Win XP. Also Ex; of printer - HP Officejet 4125, Lexmarl PCS 6235.. ect.

I see the Vista drivers one their website HERE. Did you try downloading them? If not, do so, and make sure to remove and old ones you've tried to install.

you can down load the driver just visit the website of your printer brand or try go to yahoo.com search the brand of your printer and search, for the best driver

Lost installation cd for hp psc 1210 printer and wont instal manually


You can download the drivers HERE.

Installation recomendation:
1. Remove all existing printers from Control Panel > Printers
2. Unplug USB cable to printer and reboot.
3. Install software.
4. Plug USB cable back in.

Hi,
try uninstalling any software relating to the printer.
shutdown the computer. Remove any printer to computer cables. Re-boot ( startup ) the computer.
let it set itself up. then shutdown.
turn off the power to computer, put your printer cable back in, as if you were installing it for the first time.
the computer should have found new hardware ( your printer ) And ask for a driver. ensure your HP disk is in the drive, and ask to search Drive D:- Or E:- wherever your CD is located.
If it,s already got the latest drivers installed, i would,nt worry unless your printers not functioning correctly.

Ok if your printer is usb, then you need to install the software FIRST before plugging the printer into the computer via usb.

On the right it will say what OS do you have. Select your operating system. DOwnload the driver for the printer. Prolly the first one displayed, then download the driver. Install it.
