Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

I have just installed a Kenwood MP3 player with USB reciever. As soon as I wired it up, I blew the Audio fuse and had to replace the 10amp fuse. However, the system is not powering up still. Am I missing antything here?

Help with car stereo

Most likely you blew your fuse removing old stereo or putting in the new. There are a few.. Usually, a cylindrical fuse connected by a fuse holder on the yellow constant power wire on the radio, red 10amp under the hood, or the red 10amp underneath the steering column. If these are good you can always use your multimeter to check and see

I bought my alpine radio from bestbuy and it wont work. i connected all the wires and everything but there is one connector that doesnt fit anyu where. so im wondering what do i do now?

Check that the fuse in fusebox is not blew, If blew make sure wiring is correct before replacing as if not it will blow again, Wiring diagrams are provided with all new stereos and most of them have cables to just plug in and go rather than messing with any wiring which is a lot simpler if yours didn't come with one of these cables go to your local auto store and ask for radio cable for your specific make/model and one will be provided which Simply slots onto current connection and will allow after market radios to be fitted without rewiring the whole thing.

No power

blue wire goes to remote on your amp. You blew the radio fuse but also check the dome fuse and see if that went out. GOOD LUCK

I put the head unit in & blew the fuse. I need to know which fuse to change :)

if you take out the fuses one by one you'll be able to see if the fuse is blown. if there is no wire in between connecting the two pins that plug into the panel. fuse is blown.

Got a new Kenwood KDC-128 car radio recently, fitted it but the radio presets would not stay when the ignition was turned off. Then it stopped working altogether and I noticed the 10amp fuse at the back...

you need to hook the yellow wire off the back of the radio up straight to the battery this keeps memory power to the head unit then wire the wires in color coded sequence red to red black to black so on and so forth if this doesnt fix it you might want to think about replacing head unit

Mp2035 cd player will not turn on.

My hunch is that the fuses blew. When you cut all three at once you shorted the battery to ground and most likely blew out the fuses. Check the fuses and let me know. That is my best guess. Good luck
