Question about Nintendo Wii Console

Nintendo WII remotes do not work

Our wii cannot pick up any of our controllers ( we have 4 ). We have successfully used our wii since Dec. Suddenly the controllers are useless.. Rang Nintendo, did all they asked. New and alkaline batteries.. synched till we got sick of synching. They said to look at the sesor bar through a mobile camera to see if 5 lights on either side of the bar showed up. They do, so it must not be the problem. We are so sick of this, can someone more intelligent help us please? pretty please?
By the way ACE games in Melbourne have just modified the console so I wonder how warranty with Nintendo stands? (It was working perfectly well after the modification.).

tryed all that is listed here over and over. no luck. I guess I will have to send my little friend away like you said!
I will keep quiet about the modification. Thankyou for your suggestions, wish they could have worked this time.

Ensure there is no obstacle between the remotes and the device.

Perform a general reset procedure, disconnecting Nintendo from power plug , and removung batteries from remotes. Plug everything together and see if it works.

About warrantee, if there is a problem, it is not hardware, if you do not mention about the modification, they should fix the same.

Try also following the instructions here in case your remote lost sync. If you send back the Nintendo to service, do not mention the modification, this will automatically make the guarantee void

Ok, If you are really sure you did all synch correctly, then there must be a problem with the remote sensor or with Nintendo firmware, which controls the whole device.
I am sorry we could not find a definitive solution for your problem.

If you think my solution had been helpful, please accept it.

Tip

Syncing your Wii-mote to your Nintendo Wii

So you just bought a new Nintendo Wii Remote Controller but when you click the power button the four blue lights at the bottom just blink huh? Well that just means your Remote needs to be synchronized to your Wii.

Here are simple step by step instructions to do so.

1) Turn on your Nintendo Wii.
2) Open the door on the front of your Wii covering the SD card slot and the SYNC button.

3) Open the battery compartment on the back of your Wii-Remote Controller.

4) Press the red SYNC button on your Wii.
5) Press the little red SYNC button on your Wii-Mote.
6) Wait until a solid blue LED light comes on on one of the four lights at the bottom.
7) If it doesn't work the first time, try again.
Your Wii-Mote should now be synchronized.

Wii controller is not working, no lights at all coming on

Try this following steps: 1. Check to make sure the Sensor Bar cord is inserted into the back of the Wii console and the Sensor Bar is centered above or below your TV screen. 2. Make sure you are using fresh batteries in the Wii Remote. 3. The Wii Remote Controller should be used between 3 to 10 feet from the TV. 4. Make sure no objects are blocking the signals between the Sensor Bar, the Wii console, and the Wii Remote. 5. Check for interference from infra-red light sources, such as candles, sunlight, fireplaces, and stoves. 6. Radio frequency interference may cause the Wii Remote to work erratically.

Can we play gamecubegames inside the wii console, if so how?

You can do both. With internet you can download Nintendo 64 games on the wii shop channel. For game cube games enter the controller in slot one, enter the game and it's like you don't have a wii!

Note: due to the fact the the wii remote does not have enough buttons ALL N-64 games need a gamecube controller or a classical controller. Game Cube games are not compatible with classical controllers.

Wii freezing up

Hi Ashley,

It sounds like the accelerometer in your Wii Remote is not working properly.

The "point-and-click" stuff like the Wii Menu use the WIi Remote's camera (which is behind the dark part on the front of the Wii Remote). The motion-sensing for swinging, tilting and other motion uses the accelerometer in the Wii Remote.

Wrap your Wii Remote in a towel and give it a whack against your knee (not so hard as to injure your knee) - sometimes the accelerometer part gets "stuck" and needs to be jarred out of position.

If that still doesn't work, then go to Nintendo.com, click Support, and go to the Wii Troubleshooting section for more options.
http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/ts/wiiremote.jsp

Also, you don't have to use the same remote as #1. The first remote that is activated will become #1.

You can also push the Home button on the Wii Remote, then point to the bottom (where the battery levels are shown), press A, then click on Reconnect. It will tell you to press the 1 and 2 buttons on each remote in the order you want them to appear. Press the 1 and 2 buttons on the remote you want to be #1, wait for the remote to sync (the Wii will make a happy nosie), then do the same for the remote you want to be #2, etc.
