Hi,my de dietrich oven, suddenly, has stopped working. The grill works fine and when i switch the oven on the fan seems to work but there is no heat-do you think it is the element and is it easy to fit?? Many thanks Vicky.

De Dietrich DOD328 oven has stopped working. The grill and fan appear to work but the oven does not heat up. I have never mastered the timer and wondered if 'misuse' of these buttons has affected the oven as everything else appears to be in good working order?

My De Dietrich oven stopped working - regardless of which setting you have it on, it fails to heat up past warm to touch. I also have a problem in that the oven came with the house, and the manual is in French, and my French isnt good. I suspect I have also fiddled with the controls, and probably caused the problem myself.

We have exactly the same problem. We would get it fixed, except the oven takes around 45minutes to heat up and even then doesn't go above 200o, so we think there is something fundamentally wrong with it. Have had repair people out twice, who said we weren't using it properly, but we are.....

Have a UME 41 De Dietrich. Stopped suddenly to heat, eventhough Grill and fan and light are fine. Settings on timer are just as usual. Just strange. Anyone knows which part is involved?

I have exactly the same problem - when this first started, the main fuse for the house tripped - now the oven appears normal, just doesn't get hot.

I suspect that it is the oven lock that needs replacing. I bought a De Deitrich oven (pyroclean) in Sept 2007. The oven failed to heat in Aug 2009. The oven lock needed replacing which meant the unit had to be removed from the wall. It was replaced under guarantee but failed again in June 2010 and was replaced at a cost of €140 by enginneer. I am very dissappoined in the oven and expected to have no problems with it considering the DeDeitrich name. I would not recommend it to a friend. By the way the clock is easy to use if you follow the instructions exactly. Oven used by two careful owners only.

Hot air blowing out at the top of De Dietrich oven, just after putting on new oven seal, fan seems ok what could it be.

Pending on the location of the oven (i.e. not where the seal is) it could be natural ventilation of the oven. Many ovens have ventilation underneath the stovetop.

Unlock control panel

Function switch must be in the "O" position
Press the " /\ " button for a few seconds until it beeps.
Then use the +/- buttons to set time.
Try powering off and switching back on again if that doesn't work.
May vary between models but De Deitrich do free manuals downloads. Just google it

De dietrich range cooker very noisy when oven on?

Have you checked the exhaust fans within the oven? These can make a lot of noise if something has come lose. They should be located at the top of your oven or on the back. I would check that.
Good luck

My de dietrich oven is not heating. the light and fan are ok

If the fan is working o/k, then the oven element is most likely faulty.
This is located at the rear of the oven compartment behind a removeable cover.

Oven Light does not turn off

The problem is due to a faulty door switch, this is part of the door lock mechanism. The reason is that the oven thinks the door is open , this puts on the light and stops some of the oven functions ie the fan the fan element and probably the bottom element.
The answer is to fit a new door lock mechanism.
