Unfortunately the code for a CDR2005 will not be available for free from anywhere on the Internet as access is required to the original factory database.
Only available from your Main Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Unfortunately the majority
of SIEMENS/VDO codes (including your CDR500)
will NOT be available for free (or cheap) from anywhere on the Internet as access is
required to the original factory database…which is not commercially available..
Try your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Shop (who are normally the cheapest option) who will connect it to a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)
