SOURCE: basement watchdog charger does not stop charging.

Hi,
The charger is controlled by an electronic controller...that would be the most likely problem and the reason for it not shutting down IF the battery is good.
My first reaction is that the battery will prove to be the problem though.

If you need more info and testing the best place to call will be to call the service department at 1-800-991-0466

Alarm goes of a night for no reason

The water in the battery might me low. This usually happens in winter when the heat goes on and the air gets dryer. The battery water evaporates faster, but is still very slow out that tiny vent hole in each cell cap. The battery reaches the threshold, and the alram starts to trigger. If this is the case, simply add distilled water to all the cells to the bottom of the fill tube. Don't splash, the sulfuric acid is nasty. Hav baking soda handy to pour on sills, but don't get it it the battery.

F1 error relay circuit failure

Hi This is the Alarm system watchdog circuit :

The system has detected a failure in the internal watchdog element , relay circuits and will atcivate a cancel feature. F1 will be displayed in the time digets and will beep until the cancel button or another funtion is selected. An F1 failure could be detected in cook or time of day mode. With an F1 failure the ERC is picking up a comand to supply heat without receiving an input from the membrain. The watchdog circuit is designed to prevent this.
If the beep continues after pressing cancel check the main control ERC board.

Battery has liquid on top

The battery is charging with trickle charger. The liquid could be just water from condensation from the recharging process. If the charging is too vigorous, then it can also be sulfuric acid, so rubber gloves are in order. Clean up liquid with gloves on and paper towels. Once dry carefully remove caps and check water level. refill battery with distilled water to top of cell. Check water level at least twice a year. Wear safety glasses too.

(Batteries may be substituted by using a deep cycle marine battery with the same specifications as described above, but the battery fluid sensor option will not function. Simply connect the battery fluid sensor to the positive terminal of the battery to disarm battery fluid sensor alarm).

Pump continues to make noise as if its cavitating when there is no water to pump.

If there is no water to pump then it is cavitating. It should turn off when the sump is emptied down and the float drops onto the switch arm

Dacor oven beeps and shows F1 code

-F1- Alarm “System Watchdog Circuit”
The system will detect a failure in the internal watchdog element relay circuits and will activate a
cancel feature. F1 will be displayed in the time digits and will beep until the cancel button or another
function is selected. An F1 failure could be detected in cook or time of day mode. With an F1 failure
the ERC is picking up a command to supply heat without receiving an input from the membrane. The
watch dog circuit is designed to prevent this.
If the beep continues after pressing cancel check the main control (ERC)
