Hi , Just launch the Vista install disc , it will automaticaly erase Windows 7 and install a new fresh version of Vista . Caution : Back up your data and especially the drivers before proceeding . Best regards .
You could downgrade your Windows 7 Operating System to either Windows XP or Windows Vista Operating System. The term downgrade became popular during the usage of Windows Vista. At this time the Operating System was downgraded to its lower version i.e to Windows XP. This Operating System is most popular and highly user friendly. It is well known for its efficiency and performance. get more information and help for downgrading windows 7 to windows xp. hope this helps you.
If it is a new emachine, then it proberly will not let you. There is a problem with drivers. certain pieces of the hardware might no have any drivers that are supported by XP.. The best thing you can do is check the emachine website to see if any drivers XP. If so then follow this basic guide to format and re-install XP on your PC.
A lot of times, when downgrading from factory installed operating systems, you run into driver issues because they arent written for any other operating system than what they offer. My best recommendation is to google the component name and desired operating system into google (like AC97 xp driver or ATI Radeon 1300m xp driver). This will take you to a lot of 3rd party sites that have drivers to work for those specific devices. Same thing happened to me with my dell xps 1530. Came with vista, but i wanted xp. Had to scour the dell site to find drivers, but eventually found them. Once you find them, burn them to a disk for later reference.
Now you need to find a Windows XP install disk that can match the licence number printed on the sticker at the back of the laptop and reinstall XP using your serial key. You will have to download and install also the XP drivers, you find them on manufacturer website.
