Question about HP LaserJet 1320 Printer

Not printing from network.all cables connected. Also when searching for printer it still shows up.i've tried turning it off and on i printed an ip Config Page to check adress but all seems fine.

I hope you are connecting the print server to a network hub or switch and not trying to connect directly to your Win 7 machine.
There are no drivers, a print server is a network device. Connect the ethernet cable from print server to your router. connect your printer to the switch. Search the network for the printer.

Deskjet F2180 not printing with Mac OS X 10.4.11


When you installed the new software did you delete your old print setup in the printer preferences as it may be conflicting with the new driver. I would delete all appropriate hp F2180 printers from the printer preferences and then install the print software again. When you do that does your printer show up? if it does not show up there could be a problem with the usb cable or the usb port on the back of your mac, swop it into another usb port, if it still does not show up, use a different usb cable. Hope this helps.

How can I set up wireless printing?


Hi Brenda,
Considering that your printer has an in-built Ethernet feature means no need for external print servers.
  • Take the printers network/Ethernet cable and then plug it into a router/network Hub.
  • Once you've connected the computer to the network,install the printers software in all the[networked] computers that will use it.
  • Now try printing.Note that,the networked computers print jobs will be printed in order received.

Cannot get the wireless connection to work on the printer. The USB cable is connected to the back of the PCU. I've installed and uninstalled twice and nothing. It did work when I first got it and...


Here are some guidelines to identify and fix your wireless communication issue:
  • What is the status of the Wi-Fi light on the printer? Green light means that it's connected to a wireless network while Orange light means it's not connected to a network.
  • Try to print the printer's wireless network settings to determine if it's connected to your own wireless network. On the printer operator panel, touch the Setup button > Network Setup > Print Setup Page. Your printer will then print the its wireless network information page. Ensure that the printer is connected to your network by checking the Network Card Status, Wireless SSID, Quality or Trouble Code.
  • If printer is not connected to your network, you may need to reset your printer's wireless network settings. On the printer operator panel, press Setup button > Network Setup > Reset Network Settings. The Wi-Fi light on the printer will momentarily turn off then back on to solid orange. You can then run the Wireless Setup Utility application on your computer to reconfigure the printer to connect to your wireless network. On your computer, launch the Lexmark Printer Home application > go to Settings tab > Wireless Setup Utility. Please follow the instructions on your computer screen.

The printer show offline


Hi,
Is this network printer or stand alone printer?
For both, check the power of printer.
For network printer, check print server is working, network cable from printer to print server is fine, check your computer connect to network.
For stand alone printer, check cable connect between your computer and printer.

If they are all good, restart your computer to let windows pick up your printer when it start up.

Why my computer does not recognize lexmark E260dn printer?


The computer can not detect the printer for a number of reasons and this can be resolve by check the connection between the printer and computer. Please make sure you are using the recommended USB or Ethernet cable (network connected). Check the cable connections to the printer to make sure they are secure. For more information, see the setup documentation that came with the printer.

If connected to a network, make sure that the printer is connected to the network. Print a network setup page and check that the status shows Connected. If the status is Not Connected, check the network cables, and then try printing the network setup page again. Contact your system support person to make sure the network is functioning correctly.

I have connected my printer, but there is one symbol showing red. sometimes it can print the test page once, but only once when you try again there is no signal


you r printer usb or network . ok printer driver uninstall first and remove the usb cable after one restart system .Now install printer driver .printer driver Search your printer usb or lan at the time u connect usb .than working fine

Print spooler unable to connect tp printer,cable


Print internal configuration page and check for IP address in printed sheet and try to compare with the driver information
Check for LED at network card if it’s on
Try to send ping command to IP address to verify connection and if reply is confirm
Uninstall driver and reload and try to search the printer with IP or hardware address while loading driver
If still any problem it could be network card have problem need to be replaced

It will not work to directly connect a network cable directly from the network port of the printer directly to your computer. You will have to use a cross-over cable and configure your TCP/IP settings manually. However, to utilize network printing and have internet access, you will want to get a router and connect your modem to the ethernet port of the router, then a network cable from pc to switch port on router, and a network cable from printer to a differnt switch port on router. Most consumer routers have a built in 4-port switch, so that should allow enough connections. You may want to consult a local IT company or Ricoh dealer for the rest of the setup. This will allow the framework for network printing and/or scanning.
