There should be incompatible hardware or driver with your Pc configuration, I recommend not to continue with the Sp3, if it's not going well. You'll face the problem again even if you somehow get through this time. So, go for another service pack, i would suggest sp2. Good luck..

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Blue screen when updating windows XP to sp3

Try using Last Known Good Configuration if you can't start Windows, but it started correctly the last time you turned on the computer.
If you notice your system behaving strangely and Windows is still running, try using System Restore to return the system to an earlier point in time when things worked correctly. Unlike Last Known Good Configuration, changes made with System Restore can be undone (unless made in safe mode), and System Restore provides different points in time you can restore your system to.

W200 cause a blue screen

First of all: If you install SP2 you don't have to install SP1 over it. It already did. Secondly, don't install SP3, it destroys Windows XP.
Try reinsalling the PC with SP2, install the drivers and do nothing else, see if that helps.

If not, by all means post back here,
Yannick.

Thats an error with the driver.
These days you dont get drivers with flash drives so you'll just have to live with it or reinstall windows.
Reinstalling windows is recommended every year.
I do mine every 3 months. It gives you a fresh copy of windows with no errors.

I don't know if you have SP3, but if you do, try rolling back to SP2

Method 1: Use the "Add or Remove Programs" item in Control Panel
1. Open the Control Panel
2. Select Add Remove Programs
3. Click to select the Show Updates check box.
4. Click Windows XP Service Pack 3, and then click Remove.
5. Click Finish to restart the computer after the removal process is complete.
Method 2: Use the hidden $NtServicePackUninstall$ folder
1. Click Start, click Run, type c:\windows\$NtServicePackUninstall$\spuninst\spuninst.exe in the Open box, and then click OK.
2. When the Windows XP Service Pack 3 Removal Wizard starts, click Next.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen to remove Windows XP SP3.
Method 3: Use the System Restore and select a restore point prior to SP3
