La Pavoni pressure switch

I tried to adjust the pressure / thermostat switch on my la pavoni professional machine 1999 model. In the process of undoing the nuts securing the switch I knocked a connection off one of the other plugs which was re-soldered on. As the guy tried to adjust the pressure switch (plastic) it broke. I think it had been glued in place in the factory.after putting the plastic adjuster back in the correct position fixed in place with electrical tape (dodgy i know) the machine keeps blowing a fuse in the house every time I turn it on.any ideas?

Hi there, i am Mr La Pavoni based in Glasgow, Scotland and i will be able to help you. If you know the parts you require then i think you would be best to replace them as if it keeps blowing fuses then it may cause more damage than you would like. If you go to www.theespressoshop.co.uk you can buy every individual part for the lever models online and they send very quickly too. If you need further assistance please don't hesitate to get in touch with me at domesticespresso@live.com

I suggest you should get a more modern model. make sure that you buy it from a company that will install it for you. you can find some pretty good deals out there, very cheap

Tip

La Pavoni Lever Machine Hissing?

Hi there,
If you have a La Pavoni lever model espresso machine and the safety assembley on the top right hisses while the machine is heating up, all you have to do is use something hard but preferably not metal or too large and tap the safety assembly quite firmly but not to hard and this should stop the hissing. This is because inside the assembly there is a bung on a spring and sometimes it becomes stuck and just needs a gentle tap to free it up. If it doesn't stop hissing then you can remove and stretch the spring or if needs be replace the spring and bung.

My La Pavoni Europiccola "exploded" this morning - I think it is the heating element. Is that a common problem - how expensive and easy is it to fix the machine?

Hi there, i am a domestic espresso machine engineer based in Glasgow and i specialise in La Pavoni machines. If you could get in touch with me at my e-mail address (coffeeservice@live.com) i will be able to help you but i will require some info from you about what happened. It sounds like a pressure problem or the thermostat has gone allowing the water to over boil and build up too much pressure. Pressurestat is most probable i reckon. If you give me an idea of what happened i will be able to help you. I work alongside the UK's lead supplier of La Pavoni spairs so have all bits in stock. E-mail me or give me a buzz on 0141 425 1083 and i can sort you out.

Unregulated pressure then safety valve releases pouring out steam

Hi there,
It seems to me that your pressure stat which is inside the base of your machine needs replacing. I would try to give it a good descale and if this doesn't do the trick then a new pressure stat is what you need. Prob around £20 if you buy it and do it yourself. www.theespressoshop.co.uk and just click on the little la pavoni machine for full parts list.
