To Access/replace the CCU:

#1

Unplug the Whirlpool Cabrio power cord from the wall outlet. Turn off the water supply to the washing machine. Pull the washer away from the wall so that you can access the screws behind the control console. Remove the hex head screws securing the control console to the washer with a nut driver. The screws are on the lower rear edge of the control console.
#2

Lift the control console up, and rotate the console forward so that the face of the console is resting on the top of the washer. Locate the interface board cable connector to the right of the plastic tube on the back of the console. Pull the end of the connector straight out of the control console. The primary machine control is the box that the plastic tube connects.
#3

Place small pieces of masking tape around the nine wires connecting to the primary machine console. Label the wire locations onto the masking tape with a pencil. Grasp each wire at the connector with your fingers, and pull the wires away from the primary control. Pull the plastic tube out of the primary control.
#4

Locate the nut toward the bottom of the primary control. Remove the nut with a nut driver. Lift the front of the primary control slightly, and slide it down to disengage the retaining clips. Pull the primary control out of the control console. Insert the new primary control into the control console. Slide the primary control up to engage the lower clips. Secure the primary control to the console with the single hex head screw.
#5

Push each of the wire connectors into their respective positions on the primary control until they lock into place. Push the plastic tube hose over the port on the right side of the primary control. Remove the small pieces of masking tape from the wires.
#6

Position the control console back upright on the top of the washer. Secure the control console to the washer with the three hex head retaining screws. Slide the washer back against the wall. Turn on the water supply and plug the washer into the wall outlet.

My Kenmore front load washer will not fill--it sounds like it is draining instead. The last load washed did not spin correctly and the clothes were very wet when cycle completed.

    Washer Not Filling:

    • Door Not Closed and Locked
      • Front load washers won't fill if the door is not closed and locked. Listen for the door locking when starting a cycle, then pull on the door to make sure the door is closed and locked.
    • Delayed Start Feature
      • Some washers have a delay prior to filling, where the electronic control is checking the dispenser function. This is Normal.
    • Flashing Lights or Error Code on Display
      • When there is a filling issue, the washer may shut off and display one of the following codes: LF, LE, nF, IE, FH, E10 or F20.
      • If the washer is displaying one of the above error codes, then do the hard reset procedure listed below.

If the appliance is not accepting input from the control panel, follow the steps below to reset the control:

    1. Unplug or turn the circuit breaker off for 30 seconds.
    2. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet or turn the breaker back on and wait 30 seconds.
    3. Press the Pause / Cancel / Stop button twice to clear the display.
    4. Start a short cycle, to check operation of the appliance, by selecting a cycle and pressing and holding the start button until the appliance starts.

F1 flashes on my maytag bravo washer

This is an inherent problem with this Whirlpool-made top load washer and at first it is believed to be a machine/motor control fault. But it was found later that it can be due issues associated with the pressure transducer/switch system. Air leaks and moisture in the pressure hose including lints or flashing in the air dome can lead to signal error being sent to the machine/motor control assembly and it is interpreted as a machine/motor control fault. You may also observe that the fault code F1 appears usually during water filling at the start of the wash cycle and/or at the start of the rinse cycles.

Check the pressure hose for air leaks and moisture including the air dome. Replace the machine/motor control assembly if no issue is found with the pressure hose and the air dome. Click on the link below for the troubleshooting and repair instruction details.

Washing Machine 8kg - Westinghouse LT8195A is showing fault code 1f. What is the full description of this code please?

    Hi,

I was unable to figure out any error which says 1F. I suppose you wanted to say F1.

Check the fault code status :

    F1 means Water supply/low water fill .

I turn on the top load washer ,it starts to fill

    The FL error code means:
    Flood Condition:
FL flashes if any overfill condition occurs. This condition occurs when excessive water in the tub causes the overfill switch to trip. The control must realize that the trip was due to an overfill condition instead of a suds lack condition in order for FL to be displayed

With an overfill condition, the beeper repeats a warning every 10 seconds with no time-out. The pump is cycled in drain mode for 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off until the overfill switch resets or power is discontinued to the unit.

Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.

This problem I see on these are the water pumps getting clogged with lint or other things, causing the pump not to pump all of the water out at times.

There is a check "valve" in the drain assembly that seems to sometimes cause problems with the FL error code. You can remove this piece, and might avoid changing the pump.

To end test program, press ON/OFF button. To check each program indicator light, press its button. To check Cycle Countdown display, Refill Rinse Agent light and REGULAR WASH light, press REGULAR WASH button (press Delay Start button to test Cycle Countdown display alone). If more than one fault occurs, code numbers will be added together, (e.g./ ?6? = faults 2 + 4). 0 = No faults detected 2 = Heating fault 8 = NTC (temperature sensor) fault 1 = Aqua Sensor (?Sensotronic?) fault 4 = Filling fault F = Filling fault (display occurs during wash, not test) To check for heater, high limit or flow switch problems, start testing until heating starts. Using a meter with a current coil, measure current going into dishwasher. If current is ~ 11 A, then heater, high limit and flow switch are OK. If current stays at ~ 1.5-2 A, then heater, high limit or flow switch are faulty. If flow switch (e5) has failed (opened), display will show ?0″, water won?t heat (to 150?F) and water won?t stop circulating. If NTC probe (f2/f4) has failed (opened), display will show fault code ?8″ immediately and testing will end shortly after water has started circulating.
