Only from Motorola or a Motorola Service Center. The radio requires all programming to be either programmed by a motorola dealer or by the owner of the the trunking system if they own the software for thier system.

How to resolve CODEPLUG ERR on Motorola PTX760

Your radio needs to be reprogrammed or repaired. This type of error can occur for no reason, or during an interruption in programming. Check your programming/test set-up. Do not try to reprogram using the same codeplug (saved version of programming) as previously used, as it may be corrupt. If you cannot get the error to clear with a fresh programming, the radio will need to go to Motorola to have the error cleared.

Best regards.

You have a corrupted codeplug, most likely. The radio will needed to be serviced by Motorola or a service facility with the ability to wipe the radio and reinstall the firmware and codeplug.

Rpoggromming an mtx 8000

The MTX8000 radio is programmable using a the appropriate cable, RIB (radio interface box), and Motorola RSS (radio service software). The hardware you can purchase through a Motorola dealer or an online auction site. The software is by subscription, and is owned by Motorola. (There are a few pirated versions around, but not necessarily stable.) They are pretty tight about who has access to it. You might check with your employer to see how they had the units programmed previously. The frequency which is currently them is most-likely licensed to them through the FCC.
