Sounds like the crown stem may have snapped. Same happened to me and it had to be replaced at a cost of NZD$300. Have you bumped the watch or maybe tighted the stem too tight?

Invicta Watch Setting Instructions By Ashley Brown eHow Contributor Found This Helpful A watch is only useful if it displays the correct time. Over time, your watch may display the incorrect time as the battery wears down. After installing a new battery, you will also need to reset the time. All Invicta watches have similar instructions for setting the time. Setting the time does not require any tools or equipment.

What do you mean by unscrewing the crown. I have tried to get it out but it doesn't move at all. How strong shall I try to pull it out? Tx

unscrew the crown first means turn the crown anticlockwise then pull out to adjust the time.go to the link below for instructions

SETTING DATE JUST ROLEX

After you unscrew the crown it is already in winding position. If you pull the crown, it will go to the date setting position. Further pull of crown will set it in time setting position. Try to pull the crown till you get it in correct date setting position and change the desired date. Do not use the date setting between 10pm - 2am, as this can damage date mechanism. The best way is to pull out crown to the time setting position and set the time to 6.30(anytime) and then push the crown in to date setting position and change the date to the previous day's date. Then again pull the crown out to the time setting position and advance hands forwards (clock wise) till hands pass 12.00 (midnight) and the date changes automatically to the desired one, then adjust the time, push the crown fully in and screw the crown on.

Brand New Rebel Pocket Watch How to Set

The pushbutton in the center of the winding crown is for watch case opening only. When you push it, the front lid should pop up, revealing the dial.
If you want to set the time, you have to pull out the winding crown (not the pushbutton) and adjust the hands to desired time. After setting the time push the crown back in and the watch is back in winding position.

Setting time and date on my Cartier Pasha watch.

Do not be so afraid. Unscrew that big crown fully, pull off and then you will see the real setting crown(quite small one), called an underlayed crown.
That little chain is hard enough to withstand your pulls, unless you are drunk. :)))
When you get that small crown handy- you can set the time and all the features.
If the small crown is not moving, your watch is rusty and you will need a proper watchmakers help.
