Third party WLANS is disrupting signal on my mobile phone

You have a neighbour, near the "back" of your house, with a wireless network (or wireless telephone) that is interfering with your wireless network.

Take the telephone "base" unit to the back of your house, and plug it in. It will sense your neighbour's network, and choose a different "channel" that does not conflict with your wireless telephones.

Or, take your laptop to your backyard, and walk about, and watch the "signal strength" go up and down, in order to identify which neighbour is operating the competing network. Turn your back to each neighbour, in turn, while holding your laptop, to see if putting your body "between" his network and your laptop _decreases_ the signal-strength. Turn and face each neighbour, and the signal-strength should _increase_. Liaise with the neighbour, to see if they can change "channels".

Your neighbour has either a range max router, or his router is set on maximim range. You should be able to set you router to long range too. This router is second from the bottom on range tests but should till do your work. Dial into the router by typing into your browser window. You will have to login using the user name "admin" & the password: "password".When logged in go tho the setup table and change the range from local to distant. Not all routers have this option. Mine does, so I'm hoping yours does too.

My router routes to my laptop within my house and

The possible cause is the router is not able to extend the signal to that range. Try using a range extender to boost your wireless signal. Signal strength depends on the router. So adding a range extender should solve this issue

How do I increase the IP range in a Linksys WRT150N?

Get a surge protection power board and connect your computer equipment and wireless router to this power board.
You can configure the wireless router to a different channel, one that is not used by your neighbours so that the wireless signal won't interfer with each other.
Have a look at the signal strength to your computer, if it is weak then move the router away from concrete walls and/or raise it higher to improve the signal strength.

Can't connect a laptop wireless to WRT150N

What you can do is remove the wireless connection profile that is saved and create a new one. Go to wireless connection properties and create a new wireless profile. If that doesn't work, what you can try is change the wireless channel of your router to Standard Mode using channel 11 the power cycle the router.

Signal strength

A few possibilities are new cordless phone, a new wireless router next door, a new cell tower put up near your house. There may be a break in the antennae, try another antennae, they are fairly interchangeable between routers if you have a friend with a wireless router.

New network has been detected

You may have only 1 wireless device at your home BUT your wireless computer may be picking up another wireless signal that is near you and broadcasting. If this is the case make your wireless device the default connection. BPCS

It's a common problem because the signal can get bounced off surfaces and not get to your notebook directly. The reason why you can get neighbours is because most phone sockets are near a window, hence the router is picked up quite easily by your Acer laptop as it has a Signal Up built into the antenna in your screen and because the signal is only going throgh mainly glass and air it tends to pick up more connections than some other laptops. it also makes a big difference if your router has more than one antenna and a long range capability in the settings.
