Question about Rinnai RHFE-1004FA 38,400 BTU Energy Saver Ductless Heater - Natural Gas

1 Answer

Auto Shut-Off The unit will turn on but then only work for about a minute before automatically shutting itsel***. It's as if there is some sensor inside that is being tripped or tricked into thinking its too hot. All the vents to the outside of the house are clear.

There is an overheat switch that will open if the air filter is clogged and the unit overheats. Pull out the filter, clean it as well as any debris in the vents on both sides (lower) of the heater. This is where the air enters the heater to be heated. Do you know how to retrieve the error codes? Press and hold the Economy key and then at the same time, press and hold the up and down arrow.

My gen starts and runs for 1 min or so then dies restarts then dies again and again. if i start it under load ( turn on air con) it will run for 10 min then die allen

Is there a fault?? All UL listed generators including Kohler are required to lockout on a fault on shut down. This really sounds like a problem with your 2-wire auto start connection between your automatic transfer switch and genset. RDT model automatic transfer switch it is the 2 middle wires on the green connector and terminals 3&4 in the generator. close to run and open to shut down. Any open at any time will cause the unit to shut down. The 12 will shut down instantly upon an open because your 5 minute cool down is built into the transfer switch.

Head light problems sometimes they will not shut off sometimes they (low beams) come on by themself high beam will not shut off

Are you sure there not running in daytime running light, when you think high beams are on

Also, there is sensor on the dash, usally on the speaker grate, that senses night and day. In the daytime your headlights will automatically come on when your car is in drive, and be on the high beam bulb, but dimmer than regular. At night, or in low light conditions, your lights will automatically switch from daytime lights to regular low beams. And yes, even when your switch on the dashis turned off, your lights work automatically.

To turn of the auto setting, just push the override button for your dome light, in and out 3 times, you should hear a chime, and your lights should shut off. This setting resets everytime you shut your vehicle off. Or to turn the auto setting back on, push the over ride button 3 more times.

I plug the iron in , 5 minutes later it turns off ! Is that a auto shut-off problem or something else

The iron has an auto shut off of usually 8 minutes. The iron will automatically turn on if you move the iron. If this does not answer your concern, let me know and we can look for a solution. Thanks.

DO NOT LET GO OF THE BUTTON EVEN A LITTLE BIT IF YOU DO YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT FIFTEEN MINUTES AND TRY AGAIN.. IF UNIT WORKS THEN YOUR FLOAT IN THE BUCKET IS THE PROBLEM...

No instructions on programming auto shut-off time (feature listed on box).

You have to use the "Auto-Off" feature, which is located on the same button as on/off:
The automatic shutoff time (ASO) can be
programmed to shut off immediately after
brewing (0:00) or up to 4 hours later. The
default shutoff time is 2 hours.
Press and hold the On/Off button to display
current shutoff time. To change the preset
time, press and hold the On/Off button until
the red power light and LCD display begin to
flash. This signals that you have entered the
Set automatic shutoff mode. Set the time
you want coffee to begin brewing by
following the instructions in “Entering Time
Set Mode.”
When the coffeemaker shuts itself off, two
tones will sound.
NOTE: Automatic shutoff may be
programmed either before or during coffee
brewing. If you program the auto shutoff
time after brewing is completed the unit
will automatically account for elapsed time.
For example, if you set the auto shutoff for
40 minutes and 25 minutes have already
elapsed, the unit will shut off automatically
after 15 minutes (40 minutes minus the 25
elapsed equals 15 minutes).

Auto shut off

You may want to examine the unit carefully and remove the screws which hold the unit together, you will find these screws on the bottom. Either there may be scrap over the switch or sensor or the sensor or switch has been broken. Clean the unit as best you can. You may be able to find the problem from your examination.

Auto Shut off doesn't work anymore

Though I only work with Fellowes shredders this sounds like a paper feed sensor issue. If your unit has a mechanical paper feed sensor you can try to jiggle it in and out to see if any paper may have become jammed behind switch. If the unit has an electronic sensor it may simply need to be cleaned with a Qtip dipped in rubbing alchohol. Either of these should be located in the center of the paper throat.
If neither of these help your paper feed sensor or your pc1.gif board has gone bad and you will have to contact your manufacturer for further parts availability.

You most likely have a bad LED sensor in your video tape deck. When the LED fails, the VCR thinks it has a tape in it and trys to load it. When this happens , the deck jams and shuts the whole system down. Stargazer
