It all depends on the motherboard if it is supported, check your motherboard manual, or you can logon in their website just check the motherboard brandname.

It all depends on the motherboard, you can find free software on the internet that will tell you the make and model, or do it the old fashion way and look for the make stamped on the motherboard

The Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG only tell you the BIOS, not who makes the motherboard

If new processor supports your old motherboard then you will upgrade system with your old motherboard.

If its not supported to new mother board then you have to buy new motherboard to upgrade your system.

Thanks.

I need driver for Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG

"AwardBIOS v6.00PG" is not enough information to find a BIOS upgrade. What you need is the maker and model of motherboard that you have. This will be written on the board itself (usually around the center), so if you open the case you can read it.
If you don't want to open the case you can also download SystemInfo (for free), run it, go to the Motherboard section and it will tell you the motherboard maker and model. With that we can go to the maker's site and find the BIOS upgrades available.
Also, if it is not a custom built PC, you can go the manufacturer's sire (HP, Dell, etc) and go through their downloads section to find BIOS updates.

Celeron 540 upgrade

Aspire 4315 Specifications Specifications
Part Number
Varies by specifications
Processor / Speed
Intel Celeron mobile processor 530/540/550 (1 MB L2 cache, 1.73/1.86/2 GHz, 533 MHz FSB), supporting Intel 64 architecture
if you have a 2 Ghz processor installed, you will have to replace the motherboard to go with a faster CPU.. which will be spendy..
Hope this helps

You set your BIOS to "SATA = Enabled" under that set it to
" IDE ". Most 160gig HDD's are only 1.5gig max read/write. Hope you left the jumoer pin on.

Upgrade from 600 MHz to 1 GhZ

According to this review, you can upgrade as far as a 2 GHz P4-M at least; http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,669029,00.asp Other than that, i have been unable to find the details of your motherboard - if you can post the make and model (should be printed on it somewhere) then I would hope to find a more complete list of compatible and incompatible processors. Gateway themselves no longer offer online info or support for this model, but the motherboard details should enable me to find out what you need to know. Waiting for your post :)
