I cant get in my computer but its showing in device manager

As you tell the device in can only be detected in the device manager.
It can not be seen as a removable disk in MSC mode and neither in MTP mode, showing as media player with the Sans icon.

Consult next page about 'player not being recognized':
http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/42/kw/manager/r_id/101834
Refresh the drivers or manually ad the driver for the player as described.

Sansa manual for e200 series (version 2):
http://mp3support.sandisk.com/downloads/um/e200v2_userguide_en.pdf

Important:
1. Check the system requirements of the computer as described in the manual on page 8 of the file [=page 5].
2. Charge the device using an USB connector directly to the computer,
not through a hub or card reader, preferred at the back side.

If more help is needed, just post a comment.

My sansa clip 2gb mp3 player went black after I charged and wont come on at all. How can i fix it?

Set it to MSC mode first
1. Turn device OFF.
2. Slide the Hold switch down to Lock (orange color showing).
3. Press and hold the center button while connecting the device to the PC.

Now with the firmware updater you downloaded, update the firmware in the device.

IF the problem remains after the firmware update, please try the player on another computer, if your windows media player or any other management program is trying to write into the player right when you connect it to the computer, that could be causing the issue, connect it to another computer and charge it a little there and see if it works properly.

Since you are still in warranty, if your player still is unresponsive and doesn't turn on aside from being connected to the computer and freeze's instantly, then battery might be bad on top of another hardware issue with the player. In any case it sounds like you need to get it warranty repaired (free) Contact Sandisk.

Is there driver/ software for Win ME for the Sansa Clip mp3?

a friend told me that if the device shows as"connected" when hooked up (it does) AND the battery charges correctly (it does), then (a)the USB connection had enough juice; and (b) the PC recognizes it - i just had to FIND it. device manager/ MyComputer: nada; same for ANY file/ folder with "sansa" or "sandisk." working thru WMP (Windows Media Player), however, I discovered that drive E - for a portable hard drive, NOT currently connected via USB - was STILL showing up in the "Copy to CD or device" field. sure enough, it was the SanDisk clip player (even though it was NOT under the "Recognized Portable Devices" subsection). without using the installation disk at all, it downloaded tunes just fine. *note: the installation disk seemed to be an .exe file ONLY for the Rhapsody music service. as noted above, it was unnecessary. also - my USB ports are 1.1 and not 2.0, and package stated USB 2.0 was a "minimum requirement" - not true*

It won't charge

What i would recommend you to do is to reset the player by pressing the power button..then get the firmware upgrade...And also uninstall the device and reinstall it back...tou uninstall it...assuming that you are running windows xp/...click on start, right click on my computer1.gif and go to properties..you should have your system properties open then click under hardware1.gif then device manager...look for the sansa device..it usually located under portable device..if its not showing there i would recommend you to look for under disk drives and see if its there..right click on the device and click on uninstall...after you unintall it unplug your device from the computer and check to usb mode..it has to be under MTP mode or auto....after you check the mode open up your windows media1.gif player click on tools, options and click under privacy...clear the history and caches...after you finish you can plug the device on the back of the computer not the front then windows should recongnize it and it should work properly..if that doesnt solve the problems upgrade your windows media player to 11 even though you have done that already..let me know the outcome...
This is the link for the firmware update
