BenQ FP91G+ Moniter

I have these colored lines going up and down the screen they dont happen all the time,but when they do I cant see. I have tryed to troubleshoot the problem with no avail!! Everything says it is working properly! I noticed that my computer says that I am using a plug-n-play moniter though! I am wondering if that is the problem

I am assuming you are using a VGA connector at the back.
There may be an issue with the physical connectors - make sure they are secure & screwed in ( The blue conne connector) has two screws on either side. Sometimes when the monitor is not connected properly to this cable it can cause problems. Also male sure this is the case at the graphics card end...
let me know
Also run Dxdiag.exe from the run command - This will let you know if there are any issues with the GPU.

Its worth fixing...
Its just an issue with the board.
If it happens to be the LCD panel, rather not fix it since its gonna cost u a fortune.

Monitor displays breifly then goes to blank screen

The green power light indicates that the monitor is receiving from the computer correctly. I suspect it is going into high voltage shutdown. There is a safety circuit that monitors the high voltage and shuts the monitor down if it sees anything amiss. So the monitor comes on and then shuts off. High voltage problems are generally not worth trying to repair. Another example of a worthless safety feature. High voltage failures are not dangerous, and adding the safety circuit just kills the unit when it may have some life left or worse, sometimes it is the shutdown circuit itself which fails!
Hope this helps.
