I DO NOT have a remote control
Stuck in Child LOCK
Comment by jojo3949, posted on Mar 29, 2008 first of all, i do not have a remote.
my Go Vid was working fine, until i pressed the "set up" button on the machine
unfortunately, before EXITING the "SET UP" mode I ENTER the
"Parental Control Lock" mode.
Now only the time comes on but I CANNOT turn the POWER on.
NO response with buttons.
Can only be done by remote control unless you have the complete manual to reset all your saved settings from the front panel

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Tips for a great answer:
You've accidentally switched the Child Lock feature ON.
To de-activate the Child Lock on most GoVideo DVD/VCR players, press and hold the POWER button on the GoVideo remote control for about 10 seconds. The SAFE message should disappear and you should be able to use the player again.
(To activate the Child Lock again, press and hold the POWER button for about 10 seconds)
I can't be 100% certain this will work for you as you didn't include the model number of your player. If you need further assistance, or you don't have the original GoVideo remote, please reply to me with the model number of your player.
Hope this helps.
