Question about Zanussi FJD1266W Front Load Washer

1 Answer

Not spinning and emptying

Not finishing a programme and does not empty. Bleeps after 23 minutes and does not spin. Have removed filter and cleaned. Did a new wash and the same happened again. Any suggestions as each time I open filter water floods my floor?

Washing machine won't pump out to go into spin cycle is there a strainer that needs cleaning

This is almost certainly a simple problem with your empty pump filter being clogged. The empty cycle is timed and if it can't get all the water out in time because the filter is blocked and slowing the empty down, then it will fail safe and won't step on to the final spin cycle with excess water in the drum. While it's trying to get the water evacuated, you will probably see the machine doing a slow tumble for up to 8 minutes and you may also hear the empty pump running too.
You need to locate and clean the filter. Depending on the model (not familiar which with the model you mention) there is probably a round filter cap on the front of the machine at the bottom (It may be behind a small door or hidden behind a clip on panel on the bottom) Many models of this design also have a small hose to the right of the filter cap that you can pull out, remove a plug from and drain off any water in the filter before you remove the filter and get your floor wet, so take a look for this before you remove the filter and get soaked.

Washing maching (automaid) just stopped spinning - washes but I hear the motor going through the moves - but it just does not spin. Worth getting fixed? How much will it cost? Thank you Auriel Abrahams

The digital display jumps programmes wont empty or spin

Take the toe kick off of the machine. Reach in and up to the right. There is a "manual" which covers error codes and possible remedies but not much more. Hope your "manual" is still there.

My Hotpoint Ultima WMD 960 displays "F04" on the display panel before the programme ends. Have cleaned the filter and it worked OK in spin mode and finished normally but now have put in a washing load, it...

Error code F04 means pressure switch jammed on empty.
Do the following.
Remove lower rear panel of washer.
Remove large black hose on bottom of drum.
Remove and clean filter inside the hose.
Remove the hose on to the pump, and check for blockage or obstruction here as well.
Please rate my solution.
Thankyou.
